Excellent cupcakes and donuts! Thankful for a safe option for my family.

I must start by saying that I am a cupcake connoisseur as they are my weakness. I had a chance run in with the owner and her one daughter while they were in Washington D.C. after they did a wedding. In talking to the I mentioned my fondness of cupcakes and they happened to have two cupcakes of their own and they were kind enough to give them to me. As it was at breakfast I didn’t eat them. I returned home to Pennsylvania and ate them the following day. Thus they were now two day old cupcakes and they were still moist and delicious. I was hooked with the cookie butter and I forget what the other one was. I looked them up online and too bad they don’t shop cupcakes as they are 5 1/2 hours from my home. I do plan to go off course when traveling south to get cupcakes from them. These women are amazing bakers and great personable people. One class act at the top of their game. Thanks Dawn and Lindsey for one amazing cupcake.

Very cute bakery! I purchased two different types of cupcakes- Key Lime and Pink Champagne. The frosting for both tasted very store bought. The frosting on the Key Lime cupcake was particularly hard. The consistency of both cupcakes was reminiscent of days old cornbread. I paid $9.80 for two cupcakes that I eventually tossed in the trash. These cupcakes definitely are not worth the money. This was such a waste of a cheat day!

I visited Carolina Cupcakery today and was extremely disappointed. The gluten free lemon cupcake was overpriced, small, frozen, gummy, way undercooked, with zero lemon flavor. This was their second chance. Both gluten free cupcakes that I’ve tried from this bakery have been terrible. If you want something sweet, get the gluten free chocolate chip bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes in VA Beach.

A little pricey and not much flavor in there cupcakes

This morning we drove by with hopes of getting a special birthday cupcake. We arrived one hour before their opening time of noon. I went to the door and realized they were to open an hour later. The delightful owner came to the door and allowed us to enter. She had many fresh baked cupcakes in so many different flavors and choices. The Carolina Cupcakery cupcakes are a special treat for our family and we have traditionally celebrated many of our birthdays and special events with their creations. These particular cupcakes are even more special today due to our special treatment. She even gave us a military discount. Please support this wonderful community resource.

A very disappointing experience! Ordered a two tier gluten free funfetti (with sprinkles) Princess cake for a bridal shower. While the cake was beautifully decorated, (although a couple of the icing flowers fell off), it was not made per my custom order. I received a very dry vanilla flavored cake, that proved messy when cut and served. Sadly, the most discouraging part of this unfortunate experience was the unprofessional and defensive attitude of the shop owner when I conveyed my disappointment.

We've been coming here for years! The only place I fully trust that won't make my food allergy kiddo sick. We love their crazy 8 cupcakes! They're top 8 allergen free but they also taste really good unlike a lot of other places where it would've tasted bland.

I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing a specialty cake from this place. We ordered a sugar free cake. Went to pick it up and by the time we got home the top and bottom layer were separated. Also, the taste of the cake was dry! We spoke to the manager and she said it was a transportation issue. She advised that she had before pictures and the cake didn't look like that. Well before and after pictures should look the same especially within a 10 minute commute. They were very defensive and offered in store credit. No go on the in store credit. We ended up tossing the cake. If you want a specialty cake please go to My Vegan Sweet Tooth. They do sugar free cakes and they don't separate. They also taste lovely. I wish I would've went there.

Gluten free cupcakes we're good but not as moist as regular cupcakes, BUT the icing makes up for it!

Disappointed to learn that you need 48 hours notice to purchase gluten free items from this bakery. Their menu on the website is extensive, but it isn't clear that items aren't readily available with the exception of a few frozen cupcakes and donuts.

So excited to get cupcakes and donuts that were allergy friendly for my daughter! Everything was well labeled and there were lots of choices.

Amazing & delicious cupcakes!! Couldn't even tell they were gluten free. Would recommend and go back!
