We stopped here for a cupcake for a celebration and bought the gluten free strawberry crunch cupcake and it did not disappoint. There was strawberry puree filling and the frosting wasn't too sweet. Also bought a gluten free cherry pie. A few days later we went back and got the remaining pies they had. This was the best gluten free pie crust at any bakery across the country. The girl was very polite and didn't mind listening to my story about how we came across their shop. It was a pleasant experience across the board.

I hired Carolina Cupcakery for my wedding cake. They have great customer service. The ladies I worked with were so sweet and friendly, and prompt to respond. I had a small wedding budget, and they worked with me to get the 3-tiered cake I was dreaming of. They were even willing to use the cake decor I had purchased on Amazon. Our cake was delivered on time and looked beautiful. Very happy!!

The cupcakes are dry for the price and the icing - colored sugar. If you like that kind of cupcake this is for you. We tried $40 with of cupcakes because we wanted them for a wedding - I couldn't finish the first one - in trash.

Highly recommend! They are correct when they say “every kid deserves a birthday cake.” Thank you so much!

Use to be our go to spot for cupcakes. Now they taste a few days old, a lot smaller cupcake with a heavier price tag. Disappointed.

Great options, delicious flavors, kind people. Kids and adults very satisfied. Big fan of the Japanese Ube flavor cupcake.

The owner and head bakers - so sweet and so considerate. I have been wanting to try their lavender flavored cupcakes for years. One day when I happened to stumbled onto their testing weeks for new flavors, I got to the talk to one of them and they told me that they were testing out lavender and blackberry cupcake a few days earlier. Without asking, she offered me to make two extra for me to pick up later the next week. Not only their flavors are amazing but the service was the literal frosting to the experience. Thank you!

High priced below average cupcakes. This place is just not it. I passed by this place a bunch so o figured I'd step in, and wish I hadn't. I stopped by to pick up four cupcakes and it cost me $14! - red velvet - no flavor, dry -chocolate - better cupcakes at Walmart - lemon- so dense it felt like I was eating a biscuit instead of a cupcake- peanut butter- good peanut butter flavor The customer service was AWFUL. Was not greeted when I came in. I had never been there before so I had to ask if they did 4 cupcakes or if there was a number to get. Didn't even get asked what flavors I wanted, I basically had to ask if they were ready. No communication other than giving me the price. I saw two people in there and neither acknowledged me, other than what they were forced to do. Will never return here and I'd suggest finding a different spot. Nothing Bundt cakes is across the street with way better cakes and wayyyy nicer service.

The ambiance was nice and the customer service was stellar; however, the strawberry and lime vegan cupcakes were frozen and tasted several days old. We wanted to eat the cupcakes when we bought them but they had to be heated which lost the flavor I think. The cupcakes were moist but tasted full of artificial flavoring. I'm sure the regular cupcakes were better. The icing tasted excruciatingly sweet and artificial as well. We came for the vegan options since there are few options in the area; however, we were disappointed.

Came here to curb a sweet tooth craving on my birthday and was delighted. The woman at the front counter was very helpful and kind. We tried the summer strawberry and key lime flavored cupcakes and they were fantastic! Moist, flavorful and airy.

I had these cupcakes at another restaurant. It was 17$ for 2 cupcakesThe cupcakes were weighed down in frosting that tasted cheap. Not store brought, just very cheap, dense, sugary and bland. The cake itself had the same problem. Cheap, dense, sugary - yet so very bland. I cannot overemphasize how cheap and bland these cupcakes tasted. Are they adding corn starch to everything they bake?I cannot recommend this to anyone.

I ordered from them on DoorDash. I ordered a classic cupcake. For over $4, it was tiny and dense. It was 1.5 inches and just not good. I ordered four cake pops and only received one tiny half sized cake pop. Boo. So disappointed, especially when I just wanted some good sweets.

I want to love it, I really do, but just can not recommend. We've been in twice and the cakes have been dry, service unpredictable, and selection limited. The first time I tried one I bought it out on the town so I thought perhaps it was older stock, which is why we gave them two tries at the shop in person but no luck. Hope it rebounds post-pandemic.

So our first time here. Very experienced with cupcakes, unfortunately not on par with a middle of the road cupcakery. Website boasts 100+ types of cupcakes. None of which taste fresh. The cases looked underwhelming and frankly, the cupcakes do not live up to the pricetag. We bought a PB cupcake and a Seabreeze. The PB was gritty and due to being refrigerated, was dry. The peanutbutter taste was lacking as well. All you could taste was the sugar, or smooth and light. The seabreeze boasts Vodka soaked cranberries but alas, only one cranberry in the whole cupcake, again with no definable taste other than the sugar. It too was super dry, most likely because they are displayed in a refer unit. Recommendation would be place your fresh cupcakes in a nonchilled case.

It's a real hardship to be disappointed by a baked good when you're allergic to gluten. I haven't become jaded yet, but cupcakes like those I bought from the Carolina Cupcakery get me awfully close. I put my faith and hope and $5 into hopefully having a moment of sweet normalcy at my Grandmother's 75th birthday, only to have my hopes mercilessly beat to death by a grainy, dry cupcake. I say cupcake, but it was more like a flavored cardboard vehicle for way too much sugar, shaped like a cupcake. To the bakers, I know you probably think, it's not THAT bad. And they aren't. But you know- I KNOW you know- that it's not good either. And there are good gluten free cupcakes out there. Maybe pull back on the flavors until you have a cupcake that actually tastes normal. Or at least make them look like they taste, which is sub par.
