Food was lackluster in quality and taste, and incredibly overpriced for a basic sandwich. It wasn't bad, but for 13 dollars I expected more of a layered and flavorful situation. Online photos do not represent the current menu. Came because photos had many options, but in real life it was much less. Atmosphere was cold in the cafe- staff was friendly and kind, but the general atmosphere was very cold and corporate. Would not come back.

I love the experience of this coffee shop. Teaching people that they do not have limitations and can learn important life skills and interactions. The coffee was not my favorite, but most coffee shops have good and bad days. The interior was adorable. Many cute and separate spaces for conversations with friends. I wouldn’t give it a chance again, but my coffee this time was a 4 out of 10.

This place is so cute, handsome lots of local vendor items for sale, some shops upstairs and delicious food and wide coffee/latte options.

We’ve been to Hickory Trading company a few times and each time has been a great experience. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is fun and different. I love that it feels different than just a regular coffee shop and that there are different rooms to sit. There are a lot of board games that can be played and also local art to purchase. My husband and I took our computers to get some work done and it was a great place to do that. The honey lavender latte is delicious! Would highly recommend that!

First time in shop in shop this AM , will NEVER return , it was sooooo COLD , not the temperature but the atmosphere .Nice setup with wall murals etc…Walked around whole shop looking at everything and no one , including person working acknowledged or turned head .

I highly recommend this remarkable coffee place that offers delicious breakfast and lunch options while supporting special needs families in the community. They also have unique collection of artisan gifts and crafts. The friendly and helpful staff added to the enjoyable atmosphere.

Sad sad day when you pay $20 for 2 coffees and an empty dry crepe. Never again....

I come here every week to eat breakfast. The staff is always kind and me and my friends always have a ton of fun. The atmosphere is very eclectic coffee shop with local artists displaying their wares for sale on various walls and shelves. There's a quieter space for groups, a large family style bar height table to sit alone, cozy tables in the corners, a cozy couch and armchairs, and a room that they just installed doors on so that kids can come in and play without disturbing other customers.

One special thing to note about this place is that they do a lot of work with special needs children and adults. Most of their staff is autistic/ADHD in some way so things will take longer to prepare and they might get your order wrong but if something happens, they will ALWAYS go above and beyond to fix it. This is not the kind of place to stop in for a "quick" bite or a "quick" coffee. Expect to spend a lot of time here.

I've had the chance to get to know the staff and the owners because of how often I frequent the place and I've come to love and appreciate the care and attention they give to their customers and the cafe.

They have a decent selection for breakfast. I've tried everything and it's amazing! However, I want to highlight the specialty coffees. Prices are quite decent for coffee (LESS THAN STARBUCKS!) and you can get some delicious flavors. Check the checkboard on the left wall when you walk up to the register for their seasonal flavors. I currently love the Autumnal Bliss but I've tried most of them at least once and even when they don't advertise it, you can still get the seasonal concoctions in other seasons, like the honey and lavender latte. You might also consider doing a "Roll for Flavor" where Brandon gives you DnD dice that randomizes your drink. He's good about accounting for any dietary restrictions or personal preferences so it always comes out good.

Definitely consider stopping by one morning. You won't regret it.

Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options with carmelized apples, fruit cups, stuffed crepes, omelettes, french toast, and my favorite: Eggs your way with toast and a side.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! And very friendly to those with special needs! there are toys and a closed off section for kids to enjoy and be loud in as much as they like.
