I brought my four year old here a couple days ago. First, I chose this cat cafe because they allow younger children as long as accompanied by a responsible adult. I understand why some cat cafes don’t, but I’m happy this one does. My son has been around cats his entire life and is respectful and gentle so I’m glad he got to experience this. I purchased the hour package with two rooms. You can only switch once because one room has younger cats and kittens, and the staff don’t want to risk the kittens getting an illness from the older cats. That’s completely understandable and shows they care. The rooms are well kept and cats are healthy and loved. We went during a slow period so my son was able to play with and observe the cats in a quiet environment. This cat cafe has reasonably priced food and drinks, as well as art and other items you can buy to support local adoption agencies. This is a wonderful cat cafe to visit if you’re looking to take a young child.

Visited this place today and loved it! It was our first time at a cat cafe. I brought my son and his girlfriend-we are all cat lovers and we were in heaven! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the drinks were good, and the cats were precious. This was such a great way to spend an hour. Definitely recommend it!

Alright spot to spend some time with cats if you don't own any. Place smells terrible though, could do with some air freshener or a air filtration system.

I went to visit KKCC today and it was awesome! The staff were kind and helpful, going above and beyond to provide quality service. The cats and kittens were unbelievably cute and cuddle-friendly. I ordered two drinks and they were super tasty! The rooms were also very clean and the atmosphere was quite nice. Parking was accessible too, which was a huge bonus!

I went recently with my boyfriend and we had a lovely experience. The cats were adorable and I got a Pumpkin Spice Latte that was delicious! The girl who was working was so friendly and an excellent salesperson, She told me about their raffle and I bought some cat treats (which the cats loved! Such a smart idea). The cats were very friendly and gave lots of cuddles, and I’m very glad I paid to visit both rooms. Worth it!

Big place split into two different rooms -- a kitten room and an adult cat area. We really enjoyed our visit, but it was a bit different to have to split time. The kittens were absolutely adorable love bugs and wanted lap time immediately. The adults were a bit more aloof but still enjoyed good petting.

This place is wonderful and a great outlet to open the public eye to adopting those in need.I just recently adopted Louie and he is perfect! After reading some poor reviews I have to say, those reviews are coming from people who don’t quite understand the mission behind KKCC. It is not a playground, it is not fine dining. You are not shopping for cats/kittens. It is simply a positive outlet for shelters to get more involved in the community. All of the cat/kittens are in the best conditions as possible considering whatever conditions they came from. The staff is lovely and never had any issues answering any questions from me or my fiancé and we called quite often?

I honestly love this place and the idea behind it. I've gone here a few times now and even have my heart set on one of these furry little troublemakers. They keep the place well maintained and cleaned and take good care of these cats from what I've seen. They even somehow manage to know their names once by one pretty well but I guess that's too be expected being there and caring for them so much. The staff is friendly and amazing, the coffee is good , but we all know we're just here to play with the cats. It's definitely an experience worth going for.

This post is a response to Elizabeth's post of 10/2/2023. This is the President of Garfield's Rescue Inc. We are a nonprofit feline rescue on the Northern Neck of Virginia. Our mission is to "Prevent suffering of homeless cats on the Northern Neck of Virginia." Since March of 2020 we have rescued, fostered and placed approximately 1450 cats and kittens who would have suffered in the elements and reproduced more cats that would also suffer. This work takes a team of volunteers and partners like Kitty Kingdom Cat Cafe (KKCC). We have been partners with KKCC and will continue to do so as they have been critical to helping so many homeless cats find homes. Julie and her staff are very professional, knowledgeable and focused on a clean space for all of their fosters. I have reached out to Elizabeth via text and email, in the spirit of continuous improvement, and have yet to get a response. We have offered to take back the 3 kittens, as we do with all of our adoptions, however we do understand that once a family becomes attached to the new kittens, they do not want to let them go. All adopters receive refunds on rabies vaccinations and we are offering Elizabeth a partial refund on the adoption fee. Our goal is to make sure that kittens are matched with loving families. Kittens have underdeveloped immune systems. They are given vaccines appropriate to their weight, as prescribed by our partnering veterinarians, against viruses and other illnesses. When a kitten goes under stress (transport, new environment, etc) a virus can be activated making the kitten show symptoms of illness. This is clearly stated in our adoption contracts which all adopters must read and sign. We adopt out healthy kittens but at any time after that process those kittens can become ill. We work very closely with KKCC in monitoring the health and happiness of our fosters. KKCC staff works on our behalf and takes ill kittens to the veterinarian when necessary as we are located two hours from Chesapeake. During kitten season the numbers of foster kittens increases the chances that illnesses can be spread and since they can not tell us they don't feel well, it takes time for the virus to show up. I hope to hear from Elizabeth so we can learn from her experience and make any necessary adjustments to our process. I encourage you to visit KKCC to experience wonderful interactions with loving felines in a very clean and loving environment.
