Not Sure Why, But When We Order From Them On #DoorDash, Our Food Comes Looking Delicious & Ready-to-Eat, Hot...I Went In The Actual Restaurant This Week & Ordered #ChickenKatsu, Got Back To My Desk @ Work, & IDK WTH That Was, But It Was Nothing Like When It's Delivered...It Wasn't Even Hot!Everything Was Separate - I Was Given 2 Small Containers Of COLD Sauce To Pour Over My Cold Rice & Even Colder Chicken Breast Strips...I Had To Basically Warm Up Everything Just To Be Able To Eat It...See, Once I Have A Bad Experience Somewhere, I Don't Go Back For A While & I Definitely Will Not Be Eating Here Anytime Soon!I Even Called The Restaurant Cause I Was Sure Someone Forgot How That Entrée Is Presented - Waste Of Time!Didn't Even Think To Take A Picture, But Should've Being That I Post Reviews... #LessonLearned

Had lunch here, and the cashier ( I believe her name was Ivory) was extremely nice, friendly, kind and chill. The food was absolutely delicious, and Ivory's recommendation to put sauce on the kalua pork and cabbage bowl was amazing. The restaurant is nice, and clean. It has a wonderful atmosphere. I look forward to coming here as often as I can!

4⭐️My husband is the L & L fanatic. He lived in Hawaii and loves their food. I’ve tried it multiple times, there were about 3-4 locations in San Diego, and 1 location by where we used to live in Anaheim. It’s not bad food, but I have never in my life craved it??♀️Heads up, they don’t have mini plates anymore. This was the regular, and it was A LOT of food, so my husband had leftovers. He liked his food and got his Hawaiian bbq fix. Would I drive almost an hour to get it again, absolutely not. But if you’ve never had it before, and you’re in the area, I would recommend trying it. It is good food.
The food was good, but my wife and i ordered two plates for lunch, and it took us 40 minutes to get it. There were maybe 6 people total in the entire restaurant, and at least 3 before us went up before us to ask where their food was. Shouldnt take 40 minutes to get 2 lunch plates especially when it wasnt busy at all.

I went to the “ L&L Hawaiian Barbecue “ for dinner with some friends. The counter girl was very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The food was very close to authentic and close to what I’m used to being from Waipahu. The only reason for the 4 stars ✨ Is due to the fact that they didn’t have several menu items available. I’m visiting from out of state and what I really wanted was unavailable. Thanks for reading my review. A helpful thumbs up ?? would let me know others read these comments. Food is getting worse each couple of months my girl takes me there. Not only does the taste get worse but so does the portions. On top of that the service is poor as ever as well as the pricing is getting outrageous based on portions. Wouldn't surprise me if this place doesnt exist 1-2 years from now.
I'll give it a star for being edible and the staff being kind. Tables are tacky and always feel dirty and echos fill the air from an action movie being watched in the kitchen. Pork should be marinated and slow cooked and yet zero flavor. Chicken was properly crunchy and tasted like nothing. Saddest rice on earth, you can't salt rice later, you have to salt it when you cook it. Veggies were cooked from frozen and tasted like water. I'm sorry for spending $30 here. This place doesn't deserve to be called Hawaiian Barbecue. If you're on a super low sodium diet and hate flavor, go for it.

I recently ordered here and got the BBQ plate with chicken, beef and short ribs. The chicken was the only meat that was edible. The beef was more like beef jerky and the short rib was all fat. I definitely would not eat here again.

Had very high hopes for this establishment, menu items offered are exciting and affordable. Ordered kalua pork bowl, katsu bowl, spam musubi, and lumpia. Two tablespoons of kalua pork over a bed of the blandest rice imaginable, which was topped with soggy and tasteless vegetables. Katsu was properly crunchy, however, it was on the same base of rice and vegetables, both criminally flavorless. On a positive note, the spam musubi was spot on; there was actually flavor! Lumpia was unremarkable, but not terrible. Sticky table, broken equipment, employees are nice, but noticeably disinvolved. The atmosphere in the dining room itself was pretty strange: quiet, with the exception of obnoxious noises coming from the kitchen TV, which I assume were top ten anime fights of all time. Womp womp, extra star for the musubi.

If you guys would add salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to your macaroni salad, it would be a game chamber. I tried it at home and I think it would be a hit for your guys. Just a recommendation.
