Lockside Bar and Grill

It was terrible.. the website made it seem like I needed a reservation, but we showed up to a half full restaurant. We were rewarded with a table by the door to the outside and the bathrooms. The food was disgusting.. my wife got the seared scallops and it was way too salty and I got the fish and chips and there was zero taste. Everything was very oily and when I went to wash my hands I was greeted by an empty paper towel dispenser. I do not recommend this to anybody!

Didn't have a good experience here. I see good reviews, but it wasn't good. Maybe we hit it on a bad day or they had new staff. Service was so slow we didn't get refills on alcoholic drinks. We had already finished eating before we were asked if we'd like another. Crab dip appetizer, which we did ask if it should be hot (it was supposed to be) was refrigerator cold - the top was torched but the dish was cold - absolutely no effort to rectify this was made, just a sorry. Fried cheese curds & pickles were soggy & stuck together like they had been sitting or microwaved. Meals were mediocre at best. We had a group of 5 and all entrees came minutes apart - the last was 10 minutes after everyone else. I expected more. The location is great, but service was NOT good & food was not anything I would look forward to eating again. Unfortunate and disappointing- was hoping to find a local gem - the opportunity is there, but it doesn't appear to be a focus at Lockside.

Loved the Greek salad! Others also enjoyed the Yardbird Sammich and Jambalaya. The Jumbo Pretzel app was good, but we were not expecting the very heavy butter slathered on top (like Auntie Anne's) and would not have ordered it had we known about that. Hubby's Fish‘n Chips was so oily and soggy he didn't eat it, which is REALLY abnormal. Coleslaw and Tartar were visibly unseasoned and not good. Overall good, but some tweaks would be helpful.

First time there, we really loved it, thank you for being open for Christmas Eve so we could have a special family dinner. Food was delicious, wait staff fast and attentive, dinner took exactly the right amount of time.

Visited this place again since 2016. I don't know if they have a new head cook or recipies but it wasn't as good as I remember. It's decent but is lacking flavor.

A bit disappointed this evening. Bartenders, atmosphere and overall food was great as always. However, I ordered wings, waited almost 20 minutes, and only after I finally inquired, the bartender went to look and found out they were out of wings. Pretty low key Friday night, no one at the outside bar has an order of wings, and inside dining area was pretty much vacant. Don't understand how you run out or don't have wings on a Friday evening at a bar.

Eggs Benedict had very runny whites. Server brought out scrambled eggs, per my request. Inside and outside of coffee cup not clean. Server brought a clean cup of coffee.

Enjoyed the meal, service, and atmosphere. Had the Bananas Foster French toast. The drink was the Lotus, if I’m not mistaken. Super affordable. With my added sides total was about $28-32. A little gem in Chesapeake that was worth the drive ✨.

I was looking for a place I have never been to and this place was great. It was a little further out then I go but I am glad the distance didn’t stop me. Our food was great and service was on point. I will be back and I think next time I would love to sit outside and try their lunch menu!
