Best restaurant in Hampton Roads if not the state.

Great happy hour and delicious dinner. The manager took care of us for our anniversary.

Dinner was very nice, except for the dried out old over cooked potatoes someone f on the kitchen sent out with my delicious perfectly cooked steak. Server made it right by bringing out smashed potatoes in place of the potatoes. I was shocked that someone would send that out in an establishment like this. Service was on point and the atmosphere was very nice.

After living in Italy for 4 years and eating our way through all 20 provinces, I'm telling you- this is LEGIT Italian food!!! The calamari was some of the best I've ever had... ANYWHERE!

The boar ragu took me straight back to Tuscany. 🥰

We just dropped in to check it out, but many were there for their birthday, and a few tables looked like business dinners. It was a Thursday night, but the lighting was a bit bright and the music was bumpin'. Not what I'd call "romantic." It's more like an upscale happening place with a slight club vibe. If there's a candle lit night with soft music, that's when we'd like to come back.

We've already recommend it to a few and will continue to do so.

Great venue, however, wait staff lacked table side manner, and food was lacking in the quality expected at this price point.

The atmosphere was very nice and beautiful. Our waiter was sweet and nice however the food took quite a while to come out not sure if it was because they were slammed. Also after we finished eating it took a while to receive the check and pay. The food was slightly overpriced in my opinion. The appetizers were amazing however the entrees seemed to be meh...just didn't wow me with the taste. I would say though overall it's a beautiful place.

We love the Luce location in Norfolk .. this was equally as great!

Carpaccio is a must order and the veal with prosciutto is delicious.. pastas were as great as well .. the espresso old fashioned had a little too much espresso however

I dined in around 8:30 p.m. on a Wednesday. The venue itself was lovely with aesthetic features such as chandeliers and of course white linen table cloth. There were many tables seated but the venue did not feel crowded. I was assisted by Stephen for the night. Stephen was very polite and helpful throughout the duration of my visit. From our first encounter he promptly took my order. I had the Escargot appetizer and Wild Boar Ragu for my main course. The escargot was AMAZING! I've eaten Escargot before but the pairing of the onion, bacon and (Possibly?) sausage flavoring was beyond a culinary masterpiece. My taste buds were taken to as Guy would say "Flavor town". Now for the Wild Boar Ragu. Again this was a flavorful delight! From the fresh made pasta and the slight gamey taste of the boar, every bite felt different but in a pleasant way. Also the seasoning of the meat itself was spot on. No additions needed. I also tried the Noble House sweet red wine. Honestly the wine was just okay. I thought it would pair well with my meal and it did but it didn't give me the depth of flavor I was seeking, that didnt stop me from having two glasses lol. The food felt too rich for the wine itself. My meal came to $76. Over all this place is great whether dining alone or looking for an upscale first date that's still budget friendly.

We’ve eaten at Luce Secondo about 5 times (and perhaps another 5 times at the original location in Norfolk.) The food is consistently excellent and the service is friendly and professional. The setting is beautiful.

So why only 3 stars?

THE PLACE IS UNCOMFORTABLY COLD whether you are there winter, spring, summer or fall. On one occasion I got modest relief by switching to a different table. Tonight, the place was full (as it usually is) so I did not even ask. As I gazed around the room, I saw many diners with coats on. I had to make do with my turtleneck and heavy sweater, as that was all I wore on this relatively mild winter.

When I expressed my discomfort to the manager, he said he would “again discuss this concern with the chef.” Please, chef!

Great food with an even better wine list. Certain waiters are great and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and likable. Unfortunately, this time our waitress was unfriendly, uninterested, and dampened the atmosphere of the dinner. Recommended!

Went here for a Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was stellar as always, but the music was just too loud! I could barely hear my partner talk. There’s something to be said about atmospheric music.

Again, the food was fantastic, just the band’s volume was too much.

Your catering services are horrible! Do you still do catering? The catering phone number is useless. Goes straight to voice-mail and you can't even leave a message because the mailbox is is FULL(Trust me, I've tried for a month). Ok, Next you have a Catering email address, well guess what, I've email the catering email address and haven't received not 1 response back. You call the restaurant location in Norfolk at least they answer and they be super busy, Chesapeake on the other hand don't even bother to ring to be picked up by someone, goes to answering machine as well and I seriously doubt any will listen to a message there as well. Bad business!
