Currently my favorite date spot in Hampton Roads. I am a picky eater so I love it when nice restaurants have good food even for me:) I get the flatbread and it's amazing! Such a beautiful atmosphere and the service is top notch. The BEST.

While everything is always “pretty good”, I’ll not be returning. It’s the opposite of family friendly and if you do dare to show up with a kid under 10, you get a lot of side eye, no matter how well behaved they are. Also, no high chairs or boosters. It’s totally fine if they don’t want kids in there, I just wish that they were upfront about it. We’ve been three times and it’s never gotten better. (And to be clear, our kids are usually the kid that you might hear laughing or asking for more, but they stay in their seats, don’t make a huge mess, and keep to the general volume of wherever we are.)Kid-friendliness: NOT for kids under 5 and probably not under 10. No high chairs or booster seats.

We decided to try Luce Secondo in Chesapeake. It was a 5 pm on Thursday night. No reservations so the hostess gave us the option of sitting at the main bar or in front of the open kitchen. We opted for the open kitchen and had a great view of the cook staff. I watched as my food was prepared by the very busy staff and saw the teamwork in place. I ordered the Costata di Maiale e Funghi, which is pork ribeye mushroom crema, 15 year balsamic,Marsala wine, fontina filled gnocchi. Best pork dish I've had in a very long time. So delicious my wife vows to get it next time we're dine there. Only thing left on my plate were remnants of the sauce!

The food was excellent. What didn’t go right was, we were seated at a small table that the bartender was waiting on us. She also had 10 people at the bar and was having to make all the drinks for the whole restaurant. I didn’t feel like I was getting service at all. I had to chase down someone to fill my water. And then I had to ask someone for a box to go.This was just a really bad experience for me. But I should have refused to sit at the table at the bar section in the first place. The food was really great..

The only negative was our seating location and the height difference of the seats. The restaurant was nowhere near capacity and we were seated at a small round table for two. A kids table.In addition to the kids table. The height of the cushion seat (one side of the table) is much lower than the height of the chair (other side of the table). Throughout dinner, I felt like I was towering over my wife since I was positioned higher then her and directly in front of her. Is it normal to have two different seat heights at the same table? One high and one low?Lastly, if the restaurant isn't full and many window seats are available. Why wouldn't you improve the customers experience and give them a better seat, with privacy? Instead of sitting customers directly next to other customers, and at a small table.

Came here to celebrate a late Valentine's Day with my fiancee after a long deployment. Food was great and the time from sit down to eating was short. The waitress was kind and knowledgeable and helped us to pick out the amazing meal we both had. 10/10 will be coming back.

We order the Pollo di limone and the $80 stake. Luce in Norfolk have more food quality, better human power, and even the atmosphere is more enjoyable. This restaurant needs to rotate all the staff in a minimum month on the original place. The change in quality is really noticeable.

A reservation we had no problem getting because there was no wait that night. Which is why is ridiculously atrocious as to how horrible the service was. After being sad we were not greeted for no less than 10 minutes. And then after he took the drink order it was once again no less than 15 minutes before we got drinks. Appetizers were ordered and you guessed it I actually time this one I actually timed it this one 22 minutes to get clams on a night that was not busy and plenty of empty tables in the restaurant so there's no reason for the kitchen to be backed up. Entree was the only thing delivered in a proper amount of time food was good but for the price and the atmosphere it should have been better. Now for the catastrophe. For dessert we ordered creme brulee andj espresso for each. Espressos were served quickly but should have been served with the creme brulee but since the creme brulee didn't arrive for close to 30 minutes our espressos were ice cold. When I reached out to management the following day they didn't respond. Apparently if you have a flashy looking restaurant you don't have to care because people are going to show up to take pictures with over priced food that takes forever to get
