Horrible! My first time trying the one in Norfolk was yesterday for lunch so I wanted my family to try it because it was soooo good! They were closed by the time I got off but I seen this location opened til 6 it’s a no for me the curry chicken isn’t even yellow I shouldve known it was bs when I walked in and seen zero customers and didn’t smell anything! The one in Norfolk line was out the door!! I’m so disappointed and the money I spent !!! I want a refund tbh couldn’t even eat it the pic is supposed to be curry chicken shit taste like tuna smh

My daughter and I had to travel to Hampton Roads for a day trip. I remembered having Lumpia and Pancit from Maymar Filipino Restaurant several years ago...this time didn't disappoint either! ??? They were both delicious. I highly recommend this cozy, welcoming and delicious food spot in Chesapeake.

I like the sisig coz its crunchy but too much onions and bell peppers aka extenders, adobo is ok. Chopsuey is a no no, its like sautéed leftover veggies lol but the turon, burnt.

I consistently buy Catering orders and yet when I buy 12 lumpia I am expected to pay to get any kind of sauce. Dry Lumpia really? You should be ashamed!!!! I spend entirely too much money here for that!!!

Appreciation for customers goes a long way!!!

Honestly don’t even know where to start really. First off, customer service and atmosphere was great. The people working up front were very respectful and friendly, and the inside was aesthetically pleasing as well. It featured a cute chalk board and is in a strip off Chesapeake. I’ve been going to the Norfolk my location my entire life (my fav Filipino restaurant in the 757) and decided to try this one since it is located next to my job. The food was absolutely disappointing as someone who is 100% Filipino and was always surrounded by the food. Pancit lacked flavor 3/10. It was salty. Chicken adobo appeared like normal chicken with a splash of soy sauce on it. Tasted like nothing, just salty. The pancit was bearable but I can’t help but be frustrated knowing people come to this establishment for Filipino food, and this is what they get in representation of our culture. It’s honestly embarrassing.

I’ve been going to this place since I was 18, the food has the most flavor I have had in my life. I moved to NY for 8 years, came back, and it hasn’t changed. If your in town, Go to Maymar!!!!

Disappointed!!! When I entered, I greeted her with a good afternoon, which is afternoon when my wife and I went, the young girl I assume doesn't even understand what I just said, she just looks at me, so I get that maybe she's big in America and hnd alm mgtalog or understand Tagalog, so anyways, I had sisig and sinigang pork, the sisig was blanched, I don't know that it's too oily, it's almost all onion, sinigang is not that bad, but it lacks asim, if I can recommend it? No, will I come back? No, from 1-10, 2 would be the best rate to describe my experience. goodbye
