I went to Mr. Jim's because this is what my mom wanted to eat after she decided not to have dialysis anymore. We live in Virginia Beach, and I drove here to get her the Italian sub that she remembered and loved. I asked for the manager to tell her how much she loved Mr. Jim's and wanted an Italian sub only from here. Thank you for being her favorite place to get a sub and even after she is no longer with us I will continue to come to Mr Jim's in her honor. From a daughter who will miss her mom and from a new lifelong customer.

This place is one of the best sub shops in the 757... Burgers are great too and in a time where everyone is increasing their prices they're probably one of the lowest costs as far as subs and burgers go in the 757. Try their Philly spring rolls.. Wow. Our family has been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Local fresh subs. They're Italian grinders probably our favorite.

This place was worth the drive down from South Norfolk, Chesapeake! Following online recommendations we did the Cajun Steak Sandwich and it was incredible. I split a whole and it was plenty of food but if you are starving go for a whole! The cookies were also to die for!

Maybe they’re only good when you eat in? Ordered to go -a simple ham and cheese sub with mayo and a side of French fries. Picked it up and got home 10 minutes later - dry cold sub and French fries that weren’t anything near warm and tasted filmy and like they’d been sitting for an hour. They should have still at least been warm-ish.
Mister Jims is a local legend for a reason! The food is outta this world. No matter what you order on the menu, they just don't miss. Also the quickness, guarantees that your food is gonna be hot and fresh. Mister Jims gets ALL the stars!

Haven't been in over two years but still the same fantastic food. Had the BLT on a toasted crisp hoagie roll. Bacon was hot, salty and plentiful. Just enough mayo for that tang. The Cajun steak was generous, spicy with lots of peppers. Had to get the hand cut fries..can't miss those. Friendly staff. Fresh food and fast service with a smile. You HAVE to visit them soon!!!
