neat bird chicken & whiskey

Haven’t been impressed with food in a long time and my husband and I both enjoyed our food so much !

This place was amazing! Chicken so good and service couldn’t have been better. 10 out of 10

Neat Bird has a fantastic and fun atmosphere. The staff are really nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I have a gluten allergy and I have to say, the GF chicken is so good! If you’re gluten free, I highly recommend it!

Went there for my birthday and had a reservation for 13 people. The online tool will not let you make a reservation for over 8 which is fine.

Kat was our server and she was awesome. She was extremely patient with our table and was very attentive. Her suggestions were on point from food to drinks.

We had the tater tots to start with and they were tasty. For main course, I had the chicken wings with the hot honey and miso ginger sauces on the side. The sauces and wings were very good. My wife had the chicken tenders and she enjoyed those as well. For dessert, our table shared banana pudding and blueberry bread pudding. Both were excellent choices.

I also had a slimeball cocktail and it tasted like hic ecto plasm. It was really good and Kat suggested it

Will definitely come back.

My first time here for lunch was amazing. We will definitely be back for dinner. You must try the blueberry bread pudding, we were blown away. ?

Excellent gluten free chicken! Along with deviled eggs (highly recommend their house seasoning) and pork belly burnt ends !!!! Fabulous service!!!

I was not expecting this dining experience to be awesome, but it absolutely was. Traveling for work and my co-worker found this place and said "it's fried chicken", which I had zero interest in that night for dinner. However upon walking in, it didn't feel like a regular fried chicken joint. It felt upscale, the food was absolutely amazing and the amount of whiskey choices made my head spin. The local craft beers they had on tap were also a nice surprise. Our waitress was attentive and great. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I'm back in the area for work.

The restaurant is in the new "downtown" part of Chesapeake. I enjoyed the area very much. Neat and bird was what I'd call (not in a bad way at all) a hole in the wall place. A place where locals would want to go. Once inside, the wait staff was very attentive! (I loved the style of the manager by the way.) The chop salad I got was very good, my wife's pear salad was also very good. I'd definitely go back! Enjoyable, for sure

Ordered on the Ritual app. Wait for food was listed as over 40 minutes, on the app, for pickup. We went in at the "zero minute s left", but still waited more than 20 more mi utes.....still waiting. It was my family that seemed to sense the order either never went through on the app or was possibly missed. No fun after already waiting 40 minutes to begin with.
Uber Eats has never given me a problem like this. - but the review is about Neat Bird and the incorrect wait times posted on the pickup order app.
After the wait, the order was also shorted 3 drinks that we paid for. I wanted to try Rocket Water, too.

This place was amazing, K really went above and beyond as a server and the whole staff supported her.
The chicken fried cheese curds were really great perfect mix of savory and cheesy.
To drink I had the old fashioned which there is a reason they have sold 20,000+ really great flavor and well done, then the Toki high ball was refreshing and had great notes of citrus while being highly carbonated.
For mains we tried the CBLT and the Henrietta and they were both solid, the real star was the waffle fries you could tell they were freshly made and could taste the potatoes still.
For desserts the banana pudding and the moon pie were both excellent as well.
Overall it feels like they use quality ingredients make the food fresh and had a great system down to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience.

I just finishing dining there and the food was superb! Let me tell you the hot Honey chicken sandwich was tasty and the texture of the chicken thigh meat was on point. The Nuggets are great as well, as they as the meat is from the breast...also them waffle fries and in-house seasoning was hitting. If you want some chicken...check it out.

The first time I tried this place, I sat at the bar, the bartender made excellent drinks from scratch, the service was on point. The second time I went, I sat at a table. The manger was so kind and recommended I try a special drink made with mezcal because she heard I loved mezcal from my wonderful waitress I had. The drinks were excellent along with the service and friendly waiters, waitresses, and bartenders. The Hand Cut Chicken Strips were some of the beat I’ve had in a long time along with the sauces. I had such a good time there and I’ll be back on my next trip. I highly recommend checking this place out for drinks & chicken. Thank you from ?? ?? ???
