The cafe is spacious and filled with military themed decor. Good to meet friends or do some work here - friendly staff, big tables, wifi, quiet, easy to park in the garage. Always a drip "coffee of the week" on rotation. This week was the Wild West Whiskey and it was good with a subtle, buttery smoothness and not too burnt despite being a medium roast. The iced latte was one of many specialty drinks on the menu - very hard to choose just one :) The pale horse represents Death in the bible, so everything has punk rock emo feel - look at the design on the cups! The two people serving customers were super efficient and super friendly, offering good mornings and smiles. I watched them prepare orders smoothly, and I appreciated how they cleaned as they went. I ordered the Warthog latte hot, and it was tasty.Considerations:1. Not a lot of street parking, but there's a free parking garage nearby. It was a short walk from my parking space inside.2. I buy coffee beans here for my espresso. My original choice of words may not have conveyed well enough my thoughts on the aesthetics, coffee gives you energy and we're in Hampton Roads so I get it. I can't argue with the freshness of their roasts. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it to me. If you want fresh roasted coffee to brew at home, I recommend you hit this spot up. My favorite so far is Dark Knight. My wife grabbed some kind of flavored latte drink there once and it was super good too.

Found this coffee shop on Google Maps during a visit to the area, and what a great coffee shop. The vibe is very pro-military considering it was founded by a group of veterans who put country first, coffee second. The coffee is fantastic and I also like that they donate to organizations, such as the Navy SEAL Foundation, and support active duty military members, veterans, first responders and their families. I don't feel bad paying $6 for a cup of coffee when I know my money is supporting a great cause! Their merchandise is also pretty great!

I have only been in the area for about a year or so and have been in search of a local coffee bean roaster to make drinks at home. So I stopped in today and was greeted with a great atmosphere and a relatively full seating area with people happily chatting away. I had picked out two bags of coffee beans and went to go checkout and was met with friendly staff. Even though they were busy with making drinks they still managed to ring me up in a timely manner. I went home ground up the beans and made a drink. The beans were roasted perfectly and had so much flavor to them I am definitely coming back when I run out. To the owner who I always see responding to the feedback you run a great store and have some great coffee. I was also curious if I could make a suggestion to see if it would be possible to add a label or mark down on the bag somewhere the date it was roasted on. This would give us who buy beans the ability to gauge the freshness of the bag when we bring it home.
