I'm sorry for my review..we went there tonight and it was our first time.. the server was not friendly and kind of rude.. food was good, just think that she could've been nicer..
Please use extreme caution when visiting here. The lady will charge you off the wall prices that don't match the book you ordered from. Ours was $16 more than it should have been. They do not give you a breakdown of what you ordered just a credit card receipt. Also they don't care if you have special requests....you get what they want to serve you. I will be reporting to the city and the state.

the lady who works in the font is extremely rude and snatches.

Ordered on door dash and order was cancelled because the store will not honor a pick up order. You have to order in person. Rude service. Never going back again.

Place is pretty dirty, menus are faded, owner is rude, and why surcharges on card payments? That is not how you run a business.

When I first arrived at the restaurant, I thought the location was decent, but as soon as I walked in, I understood why there were so many negative reviews. I don't visit Norfolk often, but this place was nearby the Best buy I was seeing. The owner was rather rude and insisted on where I should sit; I picked a table, but he immediately pointed and told me to sit somewhere where he wants me to sit. When I ordered, I asked for water, which never came. The combo pho had very few noodles, and the meatball was just one ball, sliced into quarters. The most frustrating part? My bill ended up being $25 for a combo pho. Was I also paying for someone else’s egg rolls? I should have questioned the total more carefully. At the counter, I saw multiple signs indicating surcharges, including for card payments. So, on top of everything, the extra costs are passed on to the customers. Honestly, I shouldn’t have left a $2 tip bringing my total to 27, considering the poor service and subpar food—if anything, I should've contacted my bank for a chargeback. $25 for a combo pho? Pho97 offers much better prices, and I consider them barely mediocre since they're a chain here. I don’t recommend this place. You can keep my $25, but my negative review is staying. I will be warning my coworkers to stay away from here.

The only lady there is extremely rude ive been going there for years and she wasnt always there. She points to tables your only allowed to sit at. She rudely asks what u wana drink and eat before you even take off your coat. She snatches the menus and says nothing else and walks aways. Once the food is delivered by another older man whom has always been super sweet no one ever returns to the table to check on us. When checking out the lady is once again extremely rude doesn’t say or ask anything but yell the total out. My total always changes either $1 or $2 more every time without a fail. Its never the same and my order never changes. She slaps the credit card receipt for you to sign. And snatches away when ur done signing. I work in a big office and a lot of my co workers are refusing to return due to this woman. She needs to know she is running people away. its very unfortunate

The beef pho was delicious, but the customer service was terrible. After we had already spent a significant amount of money on lunch, the waiter charged us an additional $1.04 fee for a to-go cup. The service was extremely dismissive.

I’ve been coming here for years and love the pho. Service has never been what you’d call friendly but just ok. Today I went in at 1:00. Only a few people at tables. I went to sit at a table close to the window and the lady told me to sit at a two seater table closer to the back. Most of the tables were empty. I didn’t want to sit at the table in the back because it’s close to the restroom and they have a very very strong air freshener in the bathroom that you can smell in the whole restaurant so it ruins your taste. I told her I didn’t want to sit close to the restroom because the air freshener is strong. She was rude and huffy and when I went to sit down at the table I chose she pointed to the exact table right next to it and said rudely.. sit here. I said what’s the difference. Her whole demeanor was just so rude so I just said I’m just gonna leave and she just said yea like that’s a good idea.I would understand if they were busy and I would be taking up a four seater but they were not even close to being busy. So rude! I’ll never be back. I’ve always gotten very friendly service at Pho 79.
** In response to another review about her bad service.. I’m white so she’s not just rude to people of color. Literally one of the rudest restaurant experience I’ve ever had!

Indifferently prepared pho...chewy, not fresh tendon, and weak broth. Indifferent service, and my hot tea went empty with never a check to refill. Not impressed.

Don't listen to Chrsitine Jones' review, she's ignorant of how pho is made. The meat is SUPPOSED TO BE RAW when you order it on the go. The heat from the pho broth cooks it..........i can't believe she didn't know that smh....

The owner was very rude when it came time to check out. They close at 10 and it wasn’t even 9:45 when we were rushed out. They gave the white couple boxes and were friendly but with us, she just fussed that the restaurant (incorrectly) closed in 10 min. She smacked my hand away when I tried paying with exact change, and conveniently I didn’t get the cash discount either. She also kept my husband’s change. Such a shame because the food was nice and this was our first time here. I won’t be returning - no sense in spending money where you aren’t welcome.

I've been there so many times already, and I think it's the BEST Pho in Virginia because the noodles never taste sour. The broth is perfectly balanced, and I always ask for fish sauce and chili oil to enhance the flavor. Btw there's always one person who handles everything at front, so when I am done, I just go up front and pay. It’s a simple and casual eatery.

Very disappointed. I have always thought highly of this place. Today, I placed a $60 order (special pho with side of veggies and 2 pork chop dinners). When I got home I realized the order was incorrect. I ordered "special pho" but was given "vegetable pho". I called and was advised they would make a new one! I drive 20 min in the rain, back for the pho with meat and was asked to pay $18. I advised that I drove 20 min to get the order I already paid for but they insist I have to pay for the new order. The manager took $3 off, like that was acceptable. But i paid it. My new order was filled with a bunch of fatty meats!! So, I used to love this place and order the pork chop meal often, but they lost a loyal customer over $18. Sad. I won't be back.
Horrible experience
