I find it very strange that the place offers shrimp tempura, but no one there knows what tempura sauce is, how does that happen?

One of the only businesses at Greenbrier Mall still going strong! Located on the 2nd floor of the mall in the food court. The teriyaki chicken here has been a staple for mall goers for years. Inflation has taken its toll on them like every other business so you may notice an increase in price to about $9 for a teriyaki tray without extra add ins. I do still recommend this place though if you're nearby! It will leave you satisfied and maybe with some leftovers depending on your appetite. Employees usually are a little bit shy/reserved but they know what they are doing when it comes to the food. There use to be a stamp card for frequent visitors but I'm not sure if they still offer. I forgot to ask when I went last. They have plastic bags and napkins available at the end of the counter if you want to take your food to go which I usually do. I honestly haven't tried anything besides the chicken teriyaki tray because I'm always happy with it!

Don't ever buy at sarku japan greenbrier mall, ever again, you're wasting your money. The food isn't good, lynhaven mall is better, but I don't buy from there either, the price is too high and they decreased the amount of food. Ripoff!

I’ve been getting food from Sarku for years, but at this point I have to say that I’m done. It’s clear they don’t respect customers who order delivery via DoorDash. You pay a premium for the convenience and they give you way less food because you’re not standing in front of them. This is the third time this has happened, so shame on me for giving them the benefit of the doubt twice. This was an order with “double meat”.

Always liked this place but leaving a 1 star review because I got food poisoning on Sunday May 21st. Had the chicken teriyaki with white rice, which is what I always get, but right after I ate it I already felt gross and nauseous. By 7pm my stomach was bloated and tight and hot and I was throwing up uncontrollably.

I should’ve listen to the reviews! This place is the worst! I ordered a small Teriyaki and they tell me they only have one size. Not sure when that started but ok. I also ordered a shrimp tempura. I watched them put dry veggies and chicken that had been sitting on the grill in a tray for me. I asked for xtra sauce to go for my shrimp tempura ( because I don’t like the yum yum sauce that it comes with) and you would’ve thought I asked for blood of their first born the way they responded. I got several no’s and no compromise or even basic good customer service. I ended up asking for a refund. NEVER GOING BACK! And I also let them know I understand now why the reviews are horrible!

The rude guy taking orders tried to tell me I didn't order fried rice, had to make a separate order for it. The spring rolls were STOLL FROZEN! On top of that, they laughed at me when I asked for chopsticks. Wouldn't go here.

I wouldn’t recommend buying here. They’ll give you a small portions of food. A bit of chicken teriyaki on top of the fried rice. It’s not worth it for the price that you would pay for.

Why are you guys giving smaller fried rice portions to certain kinds of people? We tested this 5 times at this location and you do it every time. You give a full scoop less rice for the exact same dish to certain kinds of people.

Taste is not what it used to be anymore. Price increased, while quality and quantity goes down. I ordered extra meat for an extra 5 small pieces of chicken. Shouldn't cost 1.99 extra for that.

Today 31 Aug 2022. I have been to this Sarku at Greenbrier Mall for many years and I continue to get the same chicken and shrimp teriyaki with no vegetables but extra rice in place of the vegetables. The younger employee there gave me half a plate of rice and I asked him for extra rice in place of the vegetables he said, I gave you extra, I stated that the gentlemen in front didn't get vegetables and he has a full plate of white rice covering the whole styrofoam try. The gentlemen in front of me agreed and asked the young employee to add more for me. The young guy got loud and said I gave you white rice. I said we shouldn't argue over this and he walked away mumbling something. I asked him did he say something in Spanish because I speak Spanish and heard the foul language, he stated he spoke english. I asked for vegetables and he refused. Then a young lady two spaces ahead(standing there with me) of me stated she asked for fried rice with her teriyaki and the young man stated no you didn't, she stated yes she did. He stood there and wouldn't change her order to the correct order and made her take it in which the young lady had no choice. There customer service was absolutely unprofessional in the way they handled mine and the young ladies. Maybe it was a language barrier mistake on thier part but the employee was very unprofessional. This review deserves an email back from the owner. No one should have to go through this, especially two people in the same line. Maybe add measured scoops to ensure and show the consumer the proper amount. Last time I come there, horrible unprofessional service.

It is kind of pricey but it is all you can eat Japanese food including sushi which is surprising. Walked in starving and had to be rolled out stuffed. All the food was great and not what I expected from all you can eat style. Normally the quality suffers when you can have as much as you want. It was $36 for all you can eat plus my drink. That would be the cost if I went anywhere else and got 5 sushi rolls and I ate that plus other menu items including delicious gyoza, chicken skewers, miso soup, and I can keep going on. I ate my fair share and wanted to get more but had to stop. Great service and great place to go with friends.
