Just moved to Chesapeake from Virginia beach and decided to try this place. My husband and I sat down looked at the menu and wanted wings. 6 wings were $15. 😂 we’re not cheap but we are frugal and this menu and the prices are an absolute joke. $21 for a burger?😂🤦‍♀️. Were there gold shavings in it? Nope. Pass. My husband makes great money and even he was like “nope let’s leave”. How can you charge this much for bar food? Unreal. Got a filet mignon and sides for as much as their burgers cost.😂😂😂

I was planning to give Tap It three stars since they forgot the toppings on my Southwest burger, but my wife insisted we go higher. She said her crab cake sandwich was probably the best she’s ever had, and I have to agree—it was fantastic. My Southwest burger was also really tasty, with the seasoning coming through nicely, which I really appreciated. We capped off the meal with a skillet cookie, which was pretty good too. All in all, a few minor hiccups, but the flavors and quality definitely made up for it.

We usually really enjoy going here. But last night they had barely any good beer on tap and took forever to get one once I ordered it. My mother ordered wine, she was given a glass that looked like it was a shot of wine, for $8. Horrible! So disappointed.

Have been here several times while visiting from Florida over the last couple years. Brought family in for dinner. Everytime we visit we're impressed beyond words. Food is awesome and employees express a very hometown welcome atmosphere.
Wonderful place, highly recommended.

Live band (Doc Perkins) was great! Food was awesome! Our server, Meredith, was 100/10 so amazing. Such a vibe. Cute claw clip. Would come here again simply to be served by her. Will 110% be back.

Food is pretty good, basic Amerocan bar food. Selection of their own beers.

In on a sunday evening, service was good, she was trying her best in a situation where she was clearly the only staff there to take care of customers. The burger, it was absolute garbage and gross. We would have been much better going to Wendy's next door. To be clear, it's not the ingredients, it's the kitchen staff doing a poor job and clearly not having any pride in the product they are serving. It is so disappointing as we are in need of decent dining options in this area. This isn't it!

This place has become a real joke. 20 minutes to get a waitress, order food 30 minutes later still nothing. 4 tables in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening. This place has seriously gone downhill. Not real sure how they are still in business.

Usually we love it here. When we came this last Thursday there was a band. We enjoyed our mixed drinks, since they usually don't have a beer we like. We had fried pickles as an appetizer. I had the burger with the egg, and my husband had the chicken sandwich, each with fries. When we got home, he had a bad allergic reaction that continued through the night and into the next day. The only allergy he has is to shellfish - the restaurant must have fried one of his foods in the same vat as the crab cakes or some other seafood. I tried to call the restaurant twice the next day to let them know. Thankfully he has had the full round of allergy shots and his reaction isn't lethal, but someone else's could be. Each time I called, there was no manager I could talk to but they left a message on his/her desk. I never got a call back. Hopefully they see this review and remedy the situation. I would hate someone to have a worse reaction than my husband did. Please separate the shellfish oil from everything else!

Dietary restrictions: Not a safe restaurant for those allergic to shellfish.
