I went to TASTE this past Tuesday (27th)with a friend, and it was such a great experience. The cashier was super helpful, and made us feel really welcome right away. I ordered the Lynnhaven sandwich and it was so good, fresh, flavorful, and definitely something I’d get again. I also tried the Loose Lucy smoothie, and it was honestly one of the best smoothies I’ve had in a while. So refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. Highly recommend stopping by, especially on a Tuesday. I’ll definitely be back!

Nut allergies beware! This was my first visit to Taste. It was recommended by a coworker. I am writing specifically to warn anyone with a NUT allergy! I ordered the Granny Goat Salad and specifically asked for no walnuts. My sticker affirms my order was correct, however when I got back to work to eat my salad, I realized there were several pieces of walnut in my salad. Luckily I am not allergic and only just don't like them. But if I was, this could have been a critical situation. I looked over my salad briefly before adding the balsamic dressing. Both are brown so I never saw them. It wasn't until I started eating and tasted the candied sweet taste that I realized there were walnuts. I'm thinking this was a premade salad and they chose to pick them off before selling it to me versus making a brand new salad made to order. Or perhaps, they made it and realized after the fact that they made a mistake and tried to pick them out. Either way, this could have been a major health risk. At $14 for a salad, I had higher expectations. 3 stars because overall the salad is good, but lowered because of the health risk.

What a great experience with this group. I called trying to get an online order to go through - but was having trouble. I was calling from NC to get order our client in Chesapeake, VA some lunch on us. I was having difficulty withe the online portion. Belle answered the phone, so kind, so nice - WOW - she and her manager were just fantastic. They didn't make it a big deal, took our order and made sure it was delivered to our client. Exceptional customer service - really IMPRESSED! What a great group of folks at this location!!

Taste has always been my go to spot for an original sandwich made at Taste, The Virginian sandwich is hands down my favorite, but they have a WIDE selection on their menu, take a peek then go see for yourself.

I have been ordering from Taste in Virginia Beach for YEARS. I get the Beach Club as a salad, so no bread, on a bed of lettuce. Virginia Beach has always been super kind about my food issue and request. Every time I go here they act like it's a bug deal and they want me to order a custom salad which costs more. So today I did and it's not even the same cheese. I literally want the sandwich ingredients minus the bread add romaine as a salad. You wouldn't think it would be this hard. I've requested this be added as an option with headquarters. There should be an option to make a sandwich into a salad, even if there's an additional cost. It shouldn't be this hard. I guess I just won't eat here anymore since it's so hard to navigate food sensitivities when someone can't have sandwiches.

Staff are friendly and happy! If you want something different and fresh that is going to remind you why you have taste buds, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit.
Employees are SOOOO RUDE!!!! it is not a welcoming environment, they make it seem like you are a bother to them. They don’t ask what three FREE additional toppings you want to add on your salad or sandwich. No customers at register and we still waiting in line for 5 minutes. RUDE RUDE RUDE. We also took a glance at their food items and we went back to wait for our food, come to find out our food was sitting there on shelf ready to go. No receipt or name on bag to identify if that was my food. WORK ON YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE ITS GARBAGE!!!!!!

Placed an order for a wrap and a bag of chips at 10:15 to pick up at 11. Arrived a bit early at 10:50 to pick up. It is now 11:20 and no order. There’s three other people who have been waiting the same time as I am for their orders. A dine-in guest arrive around 11am and has already received their food. There’s also food piling up at the counter but it’s not being bagged. More and more people are arriving for online orders and the food continues to pile up. Didn’t leave until 11:20, and my wrap was sitting there in the bagged food pile the entire time.
I can understand if this was the actual lunch hour but the store was basically empty(except for ppl waiting for online) when I arrived. Also, no apology or “sorry for the wait” or anything. Again, the Chesapeake locations of restaurants just cannot be bothered.

Overall extremely overpriced. Our cashier was incredibly rude and acted annoyed at us being there. Sandwiches were slim and sloppy. Chicken fingers were ice cold, sent back to reheat twice and still soggy. Smoothies are good, but not for $10! Will not be back.

I love Taste, I always get their sandwiches but today I decided to try a salad. I ordered the granny smith salad to-go. It's supposed to come with chicken but when I got home I noticed there wasn't any in the bowl. This location always gets my orders right, I guess it's just an off day. I'll get a sandwich next time.
