I place a pick-up order for simple salad because I was in a hurry. I asked for extra cheese & croutons and requested utensils. I didn't get none of it and the salad look pathetic. To-go staff just don't care.

This was a order through the app
The first time I ordered from this location, I got the salmon dinner to-go. The second I opened the lid, I was steam-blasted with the stench of rotten fish funk—pure buttdoosie energy. It was so foul, I had to step back and make sure something hadn’t died in the box.
The baked potato was shriveled and cold in the middle, like it had been baked three weeks ago and left out to question its purpose in life. The rolls were underdone and doughy, like they got scared halfway through the oven and gave up.
But I didn’t leave a bad review then—I figured maybe it was just a bad night. Everyone deserves a second chance, right?
So I gave them one.
I came back.
And they gave me overcooked steak splinters, limp bloody fries, garlic-drenched mushrooms, and mushy onions I didn’t even ask for.
That’s when I realized—it wasn’t just a bad night. It’s just bad.
Texas Roadhouse talks about being “legendary,” but what they’re serving at this location is legendary only for how badly they treat the food—and their silence when you tell them about it.
: A Legendary Disappointment
I ordered the 8 oz. New York strip cooked medium, smothered with sautéed mushrooms (no onions), and sides of steak fries and extra mushrooms. What I received was a culinary tragedy: the steak was so overcooked on the outside that I felt like I was chewing on splinters—and, as a bonus, the splinters doubled as toothpicks while I ate. The inside was only pink in a tiny center strip, nothing close to a proper medium.
I only got six steak fries total, all hiding under my steak, soaking up bloody steak juice until they were limp and flaccid—a tragic sight for a supposed steakhouse side. The “side” of sautéed mushrooms was barely a third of a cup and tough, as if they were sautéed over indirect fire, burnt on the outside, and then drowned in a jar of granulated garlic to hide the taste.
The onions were grossly mushy, like they were prepped at dawn and tossed into a crockpot of grease with zero seasoning, waiting all day to die on someone’s plate. To top it off, they ignored my request to remove the onions from my smothered topping altogether.
Texas Roadhouse talks about being “legendary,” but this meal was legendary only for how badly it missed the mark. I’ve had better steaks at a gas station diner. If this is legendary, they must be taking lessons from the history books on failed empires.

Still my favorite place to eat. They give you a healthy portion of food. Service is great. The best seasoned rice I’ve had. Great place for friends and family service.

Always a Great Spot—Connor Took It to Another Level
I’ve been coming to the Texas Roadhouse on Sam’s Road for years. Food’s always solid, service is usually good—but this time, our server Connor really stood out.
He told us he was new, but honestly, you’d never know it. He was completely tuned in the entire time—kind, present, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a good night. Not just going through the motions, either. You could feel that he actually cared.
It’s rare to have an individual server make that kind of impression. He made us feel welcome, looked after, and like we actually mattered. That kind of service sticks with you.
We’ll definitely be back—and hopefully sitting in Connor’s section!

A little pricey but it’s a steakhouse. Super busy when we got there at 7pm. The waitlist thing from their website really helped. The rolls are yummy.

The workers in the carryout area don't deserve to have jobs. Whole place reels of weed, waited almost 15mins for someone to even appear. Food was 25mins late from tone mentioned in order confirmation.
Food was upside down, bread was smashed, and clearly had been sitting on a shelf in the kitchen for an extended period of time. To top it off when they came out they acted like I was an inconvenience for being there.

Went there last night when there was a roach crawling on the wall of one of the booths and almost landed on another customer. When the manager came out, she advised no one was getting a discount and didn’t even step on the roach. I love coming here on any other day, but I guess I’ll have to find one without a bug issue.
