Our waitress was very cool and deserves praise.

The food, however, was a bit disappointing overall. My wife and I recently moved back into the area after being gone for a few years and couldn’t wait to get back to our favorite spot. It seems as though the quality has changed a bit since we left.

Goods: Steak, Brussel Sprouts, cucumber salad

Not so good’s: macaroni and cheese seems to have changed pretty dramatically, and is not nearly as good as it was when we left. The sweet potato was simply a baked sweet potato with a little bit of cream cheese on top, nothing special.

The pork chop and mashed potatoes were fine, but nothing to get excited about.

I hate leaving anything other than five star reviews for restaurants, but for what we paid, we just didn’t seem like we got our money’s worth. It seems that the prices have jumped pretty dramatically in the last couple of years as well.

We will go back, they run a great early bird special, and we hope that maybe tonight was just an off night and everything is on point next time.

Great service. Even better food.

A restaurant with great ambiance and delicious food. We booked in advance and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. The steaks are amazing! I had the fillet mignon and some salad that had 1/4 cut lettuce with bacon & blue cheese. It was amazing. We also tried some of the spring rolls and they were also delicious. I would recommend them any day

Got the 6 oz tenderloin special plate which came with 2 scallops, asparagus and some potatoes. very tender steak but the rest of my plate was very bland no flavor. Potatoes appeared to be over heated and kinda tough. Asparagus were overcooked. The best thing about my meal was the steak and rolls but the salad was another price. Too overpriced for my meal of $50 +. Won’t go back. Not that impressed with quality. Our waiter Chad did a fantastic service and attentive

We have eaten at Butchers Son several times. The events of July 5, 2025 our 55th wedding anniversary changed our opinion of this restaurant.
We were greeted by the receptionist noting that it was our anniversary. There was a notecard on our table greeting us for our 55th.
The server took our order and things went downhill.
1. The bread was served after we had our appetizer.
2.I ordered the 6 oz. filet with crab cake- it was served with green beans(canned) and no asparagus as noted by the server. When I mentioned this to him he said “we have a new cook”.
3. My wife ordered the 12oz ribeye with baked potato. I was served with fried potatoes:(
4. The broccoli appeared to be weeds that looked like broccoli:(
5. Our daughter called ahead to inquire about a dessert for us and it never came.
6. In short, we willl not return ☹️

They were out of a large amount of their menu. Ended up ordering off the menu; which was probably the saving grace. The staff were very polite and accommodating. The atmosphere was a bit off as there was water dripping from the ceiling and wobbly chairs/tables... with what they were charging, one would think it would be a bit better.

150 for 2 stake dinners with no drinks. Mashed potatoes tasted like they were from Cisco in a bag. Asparagus was pale, steamed with no seasoning. Stakes they try to cover up the lack of flavor with sweet onions and mushrooms. Wife and I were very disappointed, should have got a burger. Aesthetic was great, I had high hopes..next time I'll just go to Ruth Chris.
