Best brunch spot in the area! I normally come on Saturday or Sunday morning for some great food and a drink. I’ve eaten just about everything on the menu and everything is pretty good! Whether you’re looking for a Bloody Mary or Crush, Stephanie will make you a phenomenal drink! Great vibes and all around awesome place!

Came to Mason Jar for a late lunch today, we had been there a few times before in the past and it was nice but not great. Came to find out the place is now under new management and making numerous changes and improvements in the very near future to enhance a quality place to new heights. Were greeted by Manager Stephanie, who was very courteous, respectful and pleasant to meet and talk to. The menu was excellent, there had been a few changes made since our last visit and I enjoyed the country fried steak and my wife had some appetizers. Food was prompt and hit the spot, as I pretty much devoured my healthy portion within a few minutes. Prices are reasonable, numerous TVs on with some Saturday sports and Stephanie let us know some of the improvements coming up, which we were excited to hear about the outdoor patio and fire-pit activity and also the live music and nightly agendas planned. Highly recommend the Mason Jar and the positive and infectious atmosphere that it has!

waffle maker was broken so I ordered pancakes and I was served burnt pancakes. somehow menu price changed between us ordering and her bringing us our ticket. $18 for biscuits and gravy and the coffee was $6 and was the worst coffee. one person working. terrible experience for my husband and I (we were out celebrating my birthday and stopped there for breakfast.)

This was the second time I walked out because of the long wait times, especially if you’re sitting outside. If you ever get good, it's great, but expect a long, long wait.

I have come to this establishment multiple times, and the experience each time has been disappointing. The environment is not clean, food takes 45 minutes to an hour, and every time half of the menu is unavailable, the quality of the food is inconsistent. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Went there tonight around 5:30 I felt sorry for the Bartender she was working alone and not her fault but the food we ordered took 45 mins to get. We got the Cheeseburger dip to start which was very salty we paid our bill and left . I later found out the manager they hire who turned that place around has left. My 7 friends and I will not be returning. We follow my friend who did great things there .

NOT GOOD! I went here for brunch. It took forever to get my drink order in (party of 3). It was 25 minutes before getting my food order taken. My drink sat at the bar, dying, for roughly 10 minutes. TVs don't work, don't come here on Sunday if you want to see any football. ALL TV's were broken. The tacky banners posted on the walls as if this were a cheap dive bar are misleading. My husband's eggs came out, floating in a mystery liquid. My daughter's chicken from her chicken and waffles was burnt and dry. Waffle was dry as well, not served with any butter. My eggs Benedict was not edible. The biscuit was burnt, top and bottom, and at first glance, I thought they broke my poached eggs, but come to find out it, was the hollandaise sauce. Couldn't distinguish between the two. I told the server about the Benedict, she said she would do what she can. No offer to refire a new dish. She came back and said that because I had eaten half of it, I can have 30% off. I had only eaten two bites. A second bite was being generous. After arguing, she had it taken off. Not sure what is going on in this restaurant. It was good when it opened. The food had been slowly going downhill. Multiple tables near us were also complaining about their food. Burnt biscuits, etc... The owner needs to step up and do better. Maybe train your staff or hold the kitchen to a higher standard. Your kidding yourself if you're going to charge $20 for chicken and waffles and think you can compete with other local restaurants. This is an embarrassment to Chesapeake. The prices do not reflect the quality of service or food. McDonalds puts out a better product.

Took like thirty minutes to order. When food came out it was not good. Not hot at all. Eggs watery and weird. Potatoes cook. Sausage gravy barely warm. Waitress too busy to cash us out. Service and food quality was poor. Don’t really blame the waitress though. She was working the whole restaurant and couldn’t keep up. Bathroom was pretty ick too. Needs a good scrub.

I ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was so overcooked I couldn’t even cut it. The waffle wasn’t much better either definitely overdone. Service was okay just really slow despite not being that busy

We’ve been here twice. The first time was a great experience — the food and drinks were excellent, portion sizes were generous, and eating outside made for a pleasant visit. Our second visit, however, was very different. We came with family from out of town (a group of six). After ordering, we waited. And waited. And waited. When the food finally arrived, the tots were only warm, not hot. One of the burgers was undercooked. I ordered the Alfredo, but the sauce came out runny like milk and had no flavor at all. I sent it back. The waitress was very kind and apologetic, offering another entrée, but I didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes. I decided to just eat at home. To her credit, she did take care of us on the bill and explained they were short staffed. Still, there was no manager visible the entire time. When the kitchen is that backed up, I would expect an owner or manager to step up — or at the very least be transparent with customers about the situation. With so many other options around, I’m not sure I’ll be back.
