The All star special was on POINT, just what i wanted for an excellent breakfast
(12/7, 1pm-2pm, table 1) My waiter was calm and with good morals. The atmosphere felt great and ease. Love the idea of the cheft preparing your meal in front of you. Great people and staff. would highly recommend to eat here, solo or with the family.

Waffle House is normally good, cheap, and quick. This location is only ‘cheap.’ Staff could get nothing right. I was given regular soda instead of diet. Food took 45 minutes. Chocolate chip waffle came with no chocolate chips, which was fixed by bringing a cup of chocolate chips over to the table. We were not given syrup for our waffles. Our server was MIA for 5+ minutes so I eventually got up and got it myself. The alley was also disgusting. Staff were kicking around napkins, food, etc as they walked. Our ticket was also never dropped off so we had to go to the register and wait to even be able to leave.

My husband and I went to the Waffle House on Portsmouth Blvd this morning. We got there about 1030 am. When we walked in we were not greeted by the staff. Two people we on the grill, two wait staff were at the register talking to a customer, 4 tables had dishes on them where customers left and a wait staff was delivering food. The fact that we stood there for about 3 minutes and nothing was said is truly an issue for me. My husband and I frequent this particular location alot and the service today was NOT ACCEPTABLE simply HORRIBLE. You might try hiring people that know what customer service is and more importantly they can MULTI TASK. The sad part is when we turned to leave nothing was said. Unfortunately, I've witness poor customer service her before. Management might try dropping by more frequently to see how things are going.

Sat for 10 minutes with the place not busy or full, waiting to get breakfast. Cook was on her phone while cooking and the 3 waitresses just talking while 1 was washing dishes. Even a customer made a remark that he seen me.
I was waving my hands and 1 walked right by me. So eventually I yell out..8s anybody working here. By that time the cook was down there chatting with the other waitresses. Management needs new day shift employees there. I left and went to Cracker Barrel and got waited on as soon as I walked in the door.
Coffee came out luke warm. Food took forever, compared to other places of the like. Seemed to be more worried about to go orders and conversating than the customers that were eating in. Eggs were cold and my wife's order did not come out with mine.

I am a frequent flyer to this location specifically, the staff is always on point and quick to get the order in and ready. I've been coming here for some time now and I love the fact they remember my order and start it before I even walk through the door, especially on the days that I'm running behind for work. Keep it up guys!

Waffle House #1938 – Unprepared, Unprofessional, and Unacceptable
As a longtime fan of Waffle House, I hate to write this, but my experience this morning at the Portsmouth Blvd location was a complete failure.
I placed a mobile pickup order at 5:36 AM, with the app promising it would be ready by 5:51. By 6:04, my order was still untouched — sitting among a pile of other tickets, not even started. (Photo attached: my printed ticket clearly visible on the counter.)
Inside, the atmosphere was bleak. The restaurant was out of bags, so delivery drivers were leaving with uncovered containers in their hands. One cook even told a driver, “At least you have pockets,” as if that’s an acceptable substitute for basic packaging. I pictured myself leaving with containers in hand, plasticware shoved in one pocket, jelly packets in the other. That’s not just inconvenient — it’s embarrassing.
The cook was moving painfully slow, burning nearly every piece of toast, while orders piled up. It was clear my food would have taken close to an hour. I had no choice but to cancel my order (second photo attached), leaving late, hungry, and extremely frustrated.
Waffle House has always stood for reliability, speed, and consistency. This location offered none of those things. It needs urgent attention before it drives loyal customers away.

Every time I make an online order it’s never ready when I arrive. Currently I’ve been waiting 15 minutes for my food that was supposed to be ready at 7:40. My order hadn’t even been started.Not cool. This is the second time this has happened and it’s unacceptable!!
