I always find the best quality fruits here. Shelves are always full and organized. Employees are very friendly helpful!

The Walmart Neighborhood Market located at 475 Kempsville Road in the heart of Chesapeake has a terrific selection of fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. The store is always clean and well organized and it is not too big which makes for a great place to shop because you don't need a Golf Cart to get from one side of the store to the other. The staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful if you need help finding an item that you are looking to purchase. I like the self checkout Lane if I'm in a hurry to get in and out but they usually have cashiers available to ring up larger orders. They offer competitive prices on all of the name brands as well as the Walmart brand (Great Value.) They have a large parking lot so finding a space close to the door is usually not a problem which I find to be very convenient.

But why does this store have to be sooooo cold?! You walk in and I swear a gang of penguins were wearing matching hoodies and beanies! I saw a polar bear in the frozen food aisle laying inside the freezer just to keep warm! The employees are walking around the store in arctic winter gear just to stay warm! It's insane! Why do y'all have the AC cranking in the dead of Winter?! I have avoided shopping here because of this! Please turn the heat on Walmart! Your customers don't want hypothermia!!!

I'm giving them a one but they don't deserve that. First, I have a disability that causes me to use a cane to get around so walking up and the aisles is painful and getting a motorized cart for one item isn't worth it especially when the website lists what row the item is supposed to be located at. So doing that today, the website states the item is on aisle B4. Not even close and when I went to the pharmacy clerk for help, she wasn't. Although she looked around a bit there was no effort made to find the person who was in charge of that shelf. In the meantime the pain in my back was getting worse. I looked around some more and finally just left. I guess unless you have a cart your one item search is not going to happen. Final solution: don't believe their website and if you are handicapped stay away

The location is convenient, and they have all of the basis things you'll need around the house! The self service lines are a bonus.

Surprise Surprise! I came to this Walmart since it's close to my job. It was on a Friday and I forced myself after a long work week to just get it over with, LOL. The store was clean and organized and it seemed that all the check out lanes were open. My cashier, Autumn was such a sweetheart! Not just in a customer service sort of way, which would have been surprising enough, but she was chatty in a real way and actually SMILED! I've been to some other stores where the cashier will barely make eye-contact and mumble a bare hello or thank you. Ms. Autumn really did make a difference to me that day and anyone who goes to this particular Wal-Mart will leave in a better mood if she checks you out on her line. Kudos to you Wal-Mart for actually having a friendly and helpful employee.

I don't visit this store often, but I will definitely go back because of one cashier. Yesterday as I was getting ready to pull out of the parking lot there was a knock on my window. It was the cashier with a bag of items that I had left. I didn't catch her name, but I believe she mentioned she was from Japan when I was checking out. I'll try to add it to this review next time I see her there. I wasn't very close to the front doors so I was surprised that she saw me since there were quite a few cars in the parking lot. I thought that was so nice of her to do and I really appreciate that she came to find me.

Me and a couple of my friends stopped by to purchase a charger and a few snacks. A couple of us had our hoods on and we all looked pretty bummy. We asked an associate to show us the charger and he did so with kindness. He was the only one who was nice to us, the rest of the associates stared at all of us. Assuming we are stealing or being disruptive. We all stood by the for'real machine patiently waiting for our friends to checkout... three associates could do nothing but stare, intimidate, and make us uncomfortable. Next time dont wear a hood and always go by yourself.. oh and dress nice as well, they might leave you alone.

It's so much nicer to grocery shop here than at the regular Walmart Supercenter. Product quality and availability is more consistent and the store is clean and easy to navigate. It's easy to just pop in to pick up an item or two or do your food shopping for the week. It's also a lot easier to find an available employee to ask a question or two should the need arise. Here's a tip, back in the deli and bakery section they put out their rotisserie chickens, barbecued ribs and port tenderloins. They mark the packages with the time they were cooked so you always know how old the product is. Bonus - if the item is still unsold after a couple of hours they cut the price in half. Seriously, a delicious rotisserie chicken for $2.50. You can't beat that price, we pick up one or two and use them for sandwiches, with pasta or salads throughout the week. If you add a little barbecue sauce to the old ribs and reheat them in the oven they turn out pretty good too, plenty good for less than $5. They have a nice selection of produce right where you walk in the store. It's all laid out in an organized fashion and looks good. Checkout is pretty quick with adequate staffing at the registers and available self-serve checkout stations. I use the Walmart Pay feature on their app to pay with my phone which stores my receipt in the app on my phone so I can access it anytime. It's a great feature.

I like to come here bc I don't like my walmart and is not sketchy and the parking lot is well lit outside. It's very tidy and clean, of course bc they are new to the area. The staff is very friendly and helpful and each and everyone had a smile pn their face. Had asked a stock employee if they could check if they had a certain type of milk in Stock for my baby neice. She was very kind and helpful and went to check the back and found one available. Will be coming here more often for necessities.

Quick and easy. They have just what you need for a quick grocery trip. Tonight is taco night and we needed to get all the things. The staff was helpful in directing us to where things were. I love how close it is to the house.

Very poor customer service, misplaced items and incorrect price labels. The produce section sometimes lacks fresh veggies and most of them are gmo's anyway. The good thing is that the store is conveniently located. I wish Aldi would come to the area.

I've been here a total of 3 times and all times I am not impressed with their selection of produce. Calling it a neighborhood market does not indicate their selection is extensive. In fact, I find their produce is very limited and the vegetables were not of high quality at all. I could not find hardly any organic produce at all. The parking lot is a bit confusing to navigate. The employees were not very friendly. I will not be going nack
