I like this place. We went to the Latin dancing event. It was fun to watch. I can't dance. There was a crowd.

I loved the drink choices, food, atmosphere, and customer service! The bartender was very nice and professional. I ordered the boombox drink with mozzarella sticks and fries. They also have special events on their website!

Jazz & Latin nights were both great. The music & vibe were lively! The bar manager & staff were awesome! The food was really good and alcohol drinks even better!

Went there for Jazz night , I had wine & and a desert. Wonderful venue, great service, attentive staff.

Wifi is almost non existent in rooms on second floor farthest from elevator. Another guest confirmed as well. Room HVAC was so loud to the point had to turn off at night + constantly flashed "time to clean filter." Shower door has thin piece of broken plastic that doesnt hold door shut. Body wash/shampoo fixed bottles in shower were empty. Room was left with half roll toilet paper. Funky smell over all. 1 elevator broke, the other working one has a wet floor sign in it every day/all day. I stay in Marriott & Hilton properties often, skip this one.

Awesome staff, great service. Lauren and morgan are amazing bartenders. We had a blast playing bingo doing karaoke and trivia with them.

Employees do not welcome you or smile at you. I was checking in and she never said hi or asked how my day was going. She gave me my key and said nothing. I had to ask if they have a gym, what are the hours. Where is the elevator?! It was my first time here. Room is a original. I’m not really sure why people give this place such a great review. There is nothing special about this place. I travel everywhere, so I bring laptop with me to watch movies on the tv. They block the entire back of the tv so you can’t connect an hdmi to it. Do not give in to the bright/colorful pictures they have on their website.

Stayed here during a quick trip to Chesapeake. Had a good experience. Meets expectations on: 1. Courteous front desk and staff - the front desk folks were very welcoming and friendly. Little things like going into the kitchen and getting me some fresh coffee (when the coffee in the lobby had run out), customizing my breakfast per dietary restrictions etc. made me feel at home. 2. Cleanliness - this is a typical aloft property with clean rooms and basic amenities. The property is well maintained 3. Good breakfast options - there’s a small kitchen in the lobby that offers a decent breakfast selection. Makes a huge difference in a relatively small place like Chesapeake. Could’ve given a five star if the elevators were cleaner and if the hotel had the requested room type (I got 2 queen bed room instead of a king)

Went here to see our favorite local artist, Felicia Hoyos perform. Seriously such a great atmosphere, great, comfortable seating, the bartender was phenomenal, and the food is great.

This was our first stay at an Aloft. The lobby is very pretty and modern, staff were warm and friendly. Hallways are dark, an odd choice for such a colorful modern hotel. Gives off an eerie vibe. Room was spacious and very clean! Mattresses do not have any protective covers/encasements which I don’t particularly like. A big negative is the A/C, as noted by other reviews. I suspect the thermostats may have some type of cost cutting sensors or controls because the room would not get cool. Slept with the covers off because I was too hot. Are there quiet hours here? Maybe, but if so they were not followed during our stay. Was woken up several times throughout the night by loud boisterous conversation and laughter by other guests. I would stay at an Aloft again but would definitely check for any mention of A/C issues because our comfort comes above all else.

Latin night was wonderful and the new bartenders were so amazing, they were so friendly and no wait time for drinks. Also, the food was good. Even had vegetarian options. Now the only thing is Cauliflower wings I have are breaded and these were not but still good :)Not sure if it is under new management but the whole experience was different tonight.

I recently attempted needed to stay in the area due to an unfortunate passing within the family. I thought as a loyalty member I would be able to use my points and cash for a last minute stay. I reviewed the property to ensure there were rooms available. I called to make a reservation and was told by reservation customer care I could not. I told them I looked yesterday and there was an option however I wanted to wait to call a day later. They told me "there are rooms available but you can not use your points or certificate." I told told the agent my certificate states "no blackout dates." Then I was told that I still could not use. I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service or loyalty appreciation.
