Stayed here during a quick trip to Chesapeake. Had a good experience. Meets expectations on: 1. Courteous front desk and staff - the front desk folks were very welcoming and friendly. Little things like going into the kitchen and getting me some fresh coffee (when the coffee in the lobby had run out), customizing my breakfast per dietary restrictions etc. made me feel at home. 2. Went here to see our favorite local artist, Felicia Hoyos perform. Seriously such a great atmosphere, great, comfortable seating, the bartender was phenomenal, and the food is great.
This was our first stay at an Aloft. The lobby is very pretty and modern, staff were warm and friendly. Hallways are dark, an odd choice for such a colorful modern hotel. Gives off an eerie vibe. Room was spacious and very clean! Mattresses do not have any protective covers/encasements which I don’t particularly like. A big negative is the A/C, as noted by other reviews.
