This is the BEST sushi restaurant in the Hampton Roads area. Every time we go for dinner we get miso soup, edamame and cheesecake ON THE HOUSE. They also have a great live piano player which makes the ambience perfect for good after work relaxing dinner. I usually get their Combo Menu which includes two large 8 piece rolls for only $19.95, the rolls are HUGE and delicious. I always walk out full.
Hands down, the best sushi and customer service in all of Chesapeake! This is my daughter’s go-to spot with me whenever she’s in town. We usually order through Uber Eats or DoorDash, so they probably don’t recognize me in person. Tonight, my son and I went in for dinner , he absolutely loves this place. Ordered 2 rolls for pick up. The sushi rice was super dry. Made the secrions of the roll fall apart in pieces. The texture of the rice was nearly crunchy. It was too expensive for it to be this poorly done. This was my first time having yama Chen and since there is so much competition out there - it’s probably my last time.
