I grew up in central Florida in the home of a mother who can cook from scratch. I tried Mr. B's on a whim as I was looking for some soul food and didn't feel like cooking. I ordered smothered pork chop ( you only receive one) yams and the Mac and cheese. I can honesty say the meal was unremarkable. Thus far I have experienced Mr. B's and Family Secret and Family Secret tops my list.
I ordered a large liver and onions with collards and Mac and cheese. An extra side of mashed potatoes and gravy and yams and sweet potato pie. I paid $30 for this. The food was seasoned really well and nice size portions but nothing was homemade. Box mashed potatoes, Stouffer's Mac and cheese, canned greens and a sliver of sweet potato pie that I paid $6 for. it was honesty a toss up i was expecting some real authentic but instead the greens were not picked they taste like the ones in a bag the only perk was the smoked turkey that was used in them
