My Texana quesodilla and my daughters quesodilla was burnt on the outside but the food inside was excellent. Could have easily been fixed while making. If we had been dining in we would have asked to have it remade. We didnt see it till we got home. The white dip that you get with the chips was a little spicy. Those are the only reasons we didn't give the food a five star.

Top Mexican restaurant in the area. It was clean, fair priced, we were seated quickly, the food came out fast, and was very good. The location is easy to find and in what felt like a safe neighborhood.Parking: Dedicated lot with plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: There were multiple parties with children present while I was there.Wheelchair accessibility: There were multiple dedicated handicap parking with some being van accessible. The doorways were wide enough to fit a wheelchair and the majority of the restaurant had wide enough isles to maneuver.

Something just seems off with the taste of the meat. Nothing I had was good except for the beans.

My family and I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. They don’t know how to treat customers. My whole family had completely finished their meal and my meal did not come out until the end. I had to have them box it to go. They did not take ownership. The manager just dismissed it and refused to give me the meal as a courtesy for their error. They acted as though not charging me for a $15-20 meal was going to break the bank. . We were a party of 20 people who made a reservation. When one person is treated in such a way the whole part is affected by it. They refused to take ownership by doing the right thing by the customer.

4-2-24 Update - RIP to my culinary partner The Patron. We had many good meals together in the past, but unfortunately all great things come to an end. Both last month and last night, my wife and I visited The Patron and and were disappointed with the smaller portions, less quality ingredients and overall blandness of our entrees. I acknowledge that we are at a point in the economy where some "shrinkflation", i.e. lesser portions for higher prices are going to occur, but the why does our food have taste worse as well? The last two visits I ordered my favorite dish, the Quesadilla Tierra Mar, to see if it indeed was worse and we needed to start looking for a new Mexican restaurant. Both times, what used to be a wonderful quesadilla teeming with huge grilled scallops and shrimp, is now an anemic shadow of what it once was. Comprised mostly of chicken and with a taste predominately of the queso dip that is overly applied, my surf and turf quesadilla now just makes me sad and disenchanted. I'll miss you old friend, it was a good run.My previous review from 6 years ago "My go to place for Mexican in the area. No wait and good service. Happy hour from 4-7. I recommend the Quesadilla Tierra Mar."

We had made reservations for our party of 20. Our food comes out & 3 of our guest including my mother had not received their food. 5 minutes go by. No food. 15 minutes go by no food. 20 minutes go by & 1 out of 3 receives his tacos. Another 10 minutes go by & we ask for a manager after asking several staff members several times about the food. The second order comes out but still waiting in my mom’s food. The manager comes out & asks what she ordered & said he would get it right out. At this time everyone was completely done eating & staff had started to clear the table. My aunt asked the manager Tony who was not friendly or apologetic if her food was going to be comped. He quickly said no “we don’t do that” but I can give her a discount on the bill. He are taking about a meal that cost $15! He went back & forth with her for a little while all while my mom still did not receive her food!! She finally received her food as she ate it out of the to go container while everyone started taking pictures. This was previously a family favorite but will not be receiving business from me or my family moving forward . Very disappointing that my mom couldn’t eat with her family in Easter Sunday. Very disappointed in the way management handled the situation.

I was disappointed with the food. I’ve been to many Mexican restaurants and thought I’d try this one. I won’t go back! Here’s why: the salsa was watery, the shrimp & chicken fajita had no seasoning, not to mention they skimped on the amount received. The fajita was supposed to have red &green peppers with onions. I had 2-3 red peppers, some onions and a ton of green peppers, and most of them were not cooked enough. The chips were good and they did give a lot of those. At other restaurants like this, (El Patron and others), I would have enough food for two to three servings, not here! Finally, I paid less or about the same about for delicious food, elsewhere. So that’s my honest opinion y’all. I hope The Patron will focus on the customer and not the dollar. Peace and Love, -VParking: Plenty of parking! Just wish the food was better.
