So much fish sauce in the pad Thai I couldn’t even eat if. Threw the entire meal away. Thai hot doesn’t mean drench with fish sauce it means make it spicy. Never ever will return. Disgusting.

I’ve spent several months in Thailand and absolutely love Thai food. I’m new to the area and found this gem. The Peanut Curry is delicious! Cocktails are good, staff is courteous and prompt, and the food is legit! I’m heading back tonight with my girlfriend and we’re both looking forward to a great meal.

My boyfriend and I ate here Wednesday night for dinner, I’d never been to this restaurant before and needless to say after what I went through I’m not sure I’d ever want to come back.. (Mind you this was the only thing I’d had to eat at all that day) I had the Maki platter (spicy salmon, shrimp tempura, and spider roll) and he had the General Tso’s chicken. I gave him a bite of my sushi to try and at the end of the meal when we’ve finished paying he said that something didn't sit right. I didn’t think too much of it, and we went home. The next morning I woke up with a horrendous amount of stomach pain and eventually was uncontrollably throwing up bile every ten to fifteen minutes for hours straight. I’ve never experienced such pain in my entire life. He rushed me to the ER and found out that I had severe food poisoning. I listed off everything that I had ate within the last couple days prior and the doctor had agreed the sushi was the cause. I really contemplated leaving this review until my boyfriend started aggressively throwing up today.. this is not okay, and I highly advice everyone to proceed with caution.

My wife and I had dinner here and absolutely loved the sushi. It's rare to find a restaurant where the owner is the chef, and we love it! Kevin does an amazing job preparing the always fresh sushi and the cocktails are always great.

Bathrooms are both nasty...and it isn't just recent filth, there is buildup on the trim and behind the hand dryers. The kitchen smells odd as you go by (not in a good way), and my sushi roll was.supposed to have tempura battered oyster in it, but was soggy and had no crunch to it at all.

I was pretty disappointed when I called to get some information. It was a Friday afternoon at 5:30 and I was out walking my dog.Otherwise I would have looked it up on my computer myself. My phone call should have taken all of 30 seconds but the person who answered did not know the answers to my two questions and she had to consult with someone else at least two times. After that someone else (I assume it was a manager) got on the phone and answered one question but then told me that they were extremely busy and she did not have time to answer any more questions. It was absolutely ridiculous how rude she was to me and really whoever answered the phone maybe should not have if they were so busy that they couldn't answer a couple of simple questions. Or they could have nicely said that they were busy and would I mind calling later. Easy. But no. They didn't do that.

I wish I could comment without giving a single star. I’ve frequented this restaurant in the past, but last night was extremely disturbing! I chose this restaurant to celebrate my sister’s birthday with our family and friends, expecting the same service I received in the past, but last night was a nightmare! For starters, our waitress was incompetent and had to be asked several times for items we ordered. She didn’t know the menu, and did not express the restaurant’s policies to us until we received the check with items to pay for that we did not eat. We waited over an hour for our food, and mind you, we all remained patient and kind throughout all of this. It wasn’t until the manager came out being extremely disrespectful that things took a turn for the worse. I wish I could remember the name of the horrible manager who threw around racial slurs, but the waitress’s name is Brooklyn. Please stay say from this restaurant. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants in the area with better food and service. The experience was complete chaos that could’ve been avoided, because they ended up doing what we asked from the beginning… which was to remove the items from the check that were not eaten. After removing the items “to make all of this go away” as stated by the owner, we were told that we could no longer eat at the restaurant, as if we would EVER willingly go back, anyway. Telling us that we’re not welcomed in that racist and disgusting establishment is far from the insult they thought it would be. Also, if you do choose to spend your money at this horrible establishment, please make sure you order food that you know will taste good. If you don’t like the way something tastes, and you take it back without eating the meal, you will still be charged. I am a foodie who has lived in VA for 13 years. I’ve dined at many restaurants here in VA and in other cities/states, and I have NEVER been charged for food I didn’t eat. Whether it has been a quick bite or fine dining. Again, if you desire a pleasant dining experience, you will not get that at Made in Asia, especially if it’s a large group of African Americans. The worst part of it all, my sister’s birthday dinner was ruined and she left in tears.

I got some nasty looking cuts of red clam. I called to complain but they told me this is a normal cut. Take one look and tell me you'd eat this.

Quick, convenient and good food. Especially love the sushi and Pad Thai. Haven't tried the desserts yet but they always look tempting.

I am waiting for my order, and more than 45 minutes have been passed from my curbside pickup time. It is not the first time.
