I love leaving great reviews and try to leave no reviews if a place is not that good . But Maglio's has gone down hill . My daughter is always asking why I still order food from there . I don't order as often as I once did but still do . She used to love the place and told me about it . Tonight I was not feeling well so we ordered food to be delivered we were told it would take at least an hour . We then got an email saying it would be delivered at 7:08 . That may have been more than an hour , I am not sure . We were ok with it . Well the food showed up at 7:32 . My husband said his food was good . My Pasta Vodka was not very good and the bread was stale . After the $ 5.00 delivery fee it was about $32.00. They requested a tip also . I think there were three choices of percentages . Not sure but the smallest may have been 15%.

The staff, even the teenagers are polite, respectful, and courteous. The pizza is good, but that cheesesteak is something I will come back for again and again. Great customer service!

I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again! Maglios is hands down the BEST Italian restaurant in Midlothian!! From the awesome menu that never disappoints, to the great atmosphere, to the beers on tap, & the staff is truly amazing!! We go so much that they’re like family!
So if you haven’t been, you really need to treat yourself & stop in !!

We decided to have some pizza on Halloween evening and found this place nearby for the first time. Online it clearly stated they closed at 10 PM, so we arrived at 8:45 PM—plenty of time, or so we thought.

There were two tables seated when we walked in. I even asked the waitress if we had enough time to sit down and eat, and she said, “Of course.” She was pleasant at first and took our order.

Shortly after, my husband’s slices arrived. Then the waitress came back to say they didn’t have any veggie pizza, so I changed my order to a sub. A few minutes later, I learned they didn’t even have plain cheese pizza for my son, so we switched to pepperoni instead.

Once all the food finally came, we started eating — only to be interrupted halfway through our meal by another waitress telling us they were closing immediately. She claimed it was “against the law” to keep the UNDERAGE staff in the restaurant while customers were still inside and that we had to leave because they were closing at 9 PM for Halloween.

Had anyone told us this when we arrived, we would have gladly gone somewhere else. Instead, we were reassured that we had time to dine, only to be rushed out mid-bite. Being told to leave while chewing your food is unbelievably rude and completely unprofessional.

This experience ruined our evening and left a terrible impression. We just moved into the neighborhood and were hoping to find a new favorite spot — unfortunately, this was our first and last visit. Terrible communication, poor service, and zero respect for customers.

This place is fabulous. The wife and I bring our littlest ones here often. 5, 3, and 1. They love the food and the atmosphere, because the owners and their staff are VERY friendly and accommodating. Kids can be loud, but this place oftentimes has a lot of them in there, simply because it's a family-friendly spot with the best pizza in town, and an excellent selection of on-tap beer and wine. Order anything and you can't go wrong. And while the kids are being kids (watching football and eating amazing pizza), the adults can have a great time, too. Just a wonderful place to be, and with the best staff around, from top to bottom, you've got to try Maglio's. And P.S., kids are not always there being kids. 80 percent of the time you'll enjoy a nice, quiet, peaceful experience.

I’ve only been here a handful of times and they never disappoint. I get the pepperoni pinwheels every time and they always taste great. The staff is kind and quick too. Definitely one of the best independent pizza places!

Moved to the area a few months ago. I’ve visited here several times since and ready to leave y unsolicited review…..

1. My all time favorite meal is a simple Stromboli. Simple in what ingredients to use….. not simple to perfect. Maglio’s has it PERFECTED.

2. Their pizza has a delicious, authentic taste, a NY dusted crust and fresh, high quality toppings.

3. If you’re considering the pizza pinwheels, DO IT!!! My boyfriend and I will stop in and order one as a snack and find it hard to just eat one.

4. They have awesome brunch on Sundays 10-1-where you choose your seating and are waited on (as opposed to walk up ordering other days/times)

5. Finally, THE PEOPLE….. I find what makes or breaks a place is who is working/robbing the establishment. Some days I come by just because I know I’ll be treated with kindness and that they won’t half hazzardly prepare my food.

We ordered the Sicilian pizza it was ok. The middle pieces were soggy and the cheese wasn't melted. The outside of the pizza was delicious but the middle wasn't edible.

Absolutely love this place! Every time we come, the food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. You can tell they care about every detail—from presentation to hospitality. It's our go-to spot!

We have been ordering from Maglio’s for years. They had the best hand tossed thin crust in the Richmond area. That being said, we ordered two pizzas from them last night and the dough was completely different. Tasted like store bought dough and was much thicker than usual. Not sure why the change in recipe or ingredients was decided, but it is a major step down in quality. We are loyal customers and your crust was the best!!! Please bring it back!!!
