We were a party of four drove down to to the restaurant from Hungry Mother State Park camping. We are really glad we stopped in for an early dinner around 3:00pm. I had the Country Fried Steak, fried potato slices and greens beens. WoW! The Country Fried Steak was melt in your mouth good. The breading was light and the meat tender. Each bite was a delight. The white gravey cover seasoned just right and the green beans seasoned with just the right salt level with a hint of ham...
I got there 30 mins to close and the staff was very friendly and inviting even though they were about to close. The waiter Josh was very polite and helpful! I had the buffet and the food still tasted fresh, hot and delicious!
OK, maybe a little bit of a wait for service but not outrageous. This isn't a fast food place, after all! Our food was very good. Restaurant is very nice, clean and attractive.
