Got the chocolate and mocha on a sugar cone. Couldn’t even tell which flavor was which. Very bland, wouldn’t get it again.

This place deserves the hype! We got banana splits and they were delicious and HUGE. Could easily be shared between two or three people. Wide range of creative flavors to choose from (our favorites were Marsh Mud and Snickers). I got all the toppings for my banana split, but would forego the sauces next time as they obscured the ice cream a little too much with their sweetness. We came in the off season (February) so there was no line at all. Would definitely come back again if we're in the area!

The Island Creamery has become one of our family's tradition. We stop by at least 4 times a year. Our children and grands are making this their tradition too. The homemade ice cream is the best we've ever experienced. I love the Java Jolt and the Jet Fuel. Of corse, all the other flavors are just as good according to preferences. The atmosphere is wonderful. It takes us back years ago, and we hope they never remodel. The owners are wonderful people. They are community conscious and enjoy all the people who travel to Chincoteague. This is a must for everyone.

Marsh Mud is the richest, most incredible chocolate ice cream I’ve ever had. Apple Cider Sorbet, Pony Tracks are also honorable mentions.

Whether you're a child or an adult, no trip to Chincoteague is complete without a stop at the Island Creamery. It's on Maddox right after you come off the bridge - a great way to start your vacation. There are so many yummy flavors you really wont know where to start. It's mind boggling. Last week I chose Salty -Caramel.
