A very nice spot to grab a bite to eat in Chincoteague! Drift serves some very good sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. You can grab a bite to go or eat on the porch! Our order was out in 5 minutes and the service was great!

Walked in and wasn’t acknowledged by either people working in the back. Just sort of stood around waiting for someone to help me. It was very awkward. I also couldn’t locate a menu. I eventually found them hanging on the wall behind me when you walk in. Just a strange setup all around. Finally someone popped out from behind the coffee machine to help me and take my order. Got a bacon, egg, and cheese and an avocado toast with egg. Neither were good. The egg sandwich had maybe one scrambled egg and microwaved bacon that was so salty I couldn’t finish it. The avocado toast was inedible. We only ate half. The avocado itself tasted off/old and was also super salty. I will not return here.

Very mediocre at best. We got two breakfast sandwiches that took every bit of 25 mins. Looked behind the counter and it seemed like they were making the eggs in the microwave?? Service was lacking, seemed like she hated her job. Smith Island cakes are apparently from sisco and allegedly the muffins were made fresh in house. $30 for some basic sandwiches and two muffins. Wouldn't go back to try anything else.

I recently stopped by Drift for breakfast and it was decent to say the least. The breakfast sandwich was pretty dry and the egg was extremely over cooked. I also ordered their matcha with high hopes but it was a brownish color and it was pretty watered down. My friend ordered a brown sugar latte and that was really good!

Hands down my favorite place for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I recommend the sourdough bread. The staff is so kind and so pleasant to chat with.
I visit frequently and have for years since it is local and very close to my house. This mornings visit went a little differently, never have I received such disrespect. I ordered two iced lattes, girl made them hot I said I’m so sorry I wanted these iced I’ll pay the difference. Instantly she size grabs her face, starts smiling shaking her head, laughing, pacing the floor saying oh my god. I paid for the coffees, offered to pay the difference and apologized for her mistake in customer service. At that point, I told her to keep the coffees and I’ll never bring them another dollar of business from myself or family to here or AJ’s. I have never in left a bad review on anyone’s business but this was mind blowing!
Great food. Outrageous carry out policy. Demands a credit card up front to secure a carry out order, then charge 3% to use a credit card. We always pay cash when businesses charge us to use our credit card. No more orders from me.

Showed up at 3:50pm, as quickly as I could after work to be rudely told they were closing soon as I was walking to the counter to order. The food is okay but as a local I would rather support Amarin where the quality of the food and service is always worth it.

We’ve been here two days now and ate at Drift twice. Superb sandwiches and great selection of wine and snacks. I had the roasted chicken sandwich on excellent gluten free bread (twice). My husband had the Rachel, while eating it, he said “wow!” 6 times. He really, really loved it! We both loved it and will return several more times while we are visiting. So happy to have a cafe offer good gluten free and high quality ingredients for sandwiches.

I got a French Vanilla latte and a breakfast panini and I really enjoyed it. The cashier was really nice and the place was very clean.
