A food stand that sells specialty hot dogs and fancy tater tots. For what it is, the food's not bad! My kids opted for some of the kids' meals, which meant simple hot dog with plain tots and the other got chicken tenders with plain tots. Hard to beat. My wife got the Jamaican hot dog with jerk sauce and seared pineapple. I had a bite; it was okay. Having said that, the Jerk Chicken tots that we also ordered were really good - nice jerk seasoning flavor and the chicken didn't overpower the tots but was a nice accompaniment. We also tried the bacon and cheese tots, which is a classic flavor combination, but nothing to really write home about. There's picnic tables where you can wait for your food or dine there. The guy who took our order said my kids could each have a whelk shell (they had a whole bucket of them) and it's the little things, but my kids loved them. The food got out to us in a timely fashion. Depending on the time of day, you might have shade or be in full sun. Watch your food, the seagulls are ready to steal some tots!

My husband and I enjoyed two hot dogs: The Chilli Dog and The Yankee with an order of fries. They were both DELICIOUS! Nice hot, plump and juicy hot dogs with a healthy portion of toppings! One hot dog is PLENTY! Customer service was great! Nice vibes with the decor and music in the outdoor dining area.

I ordered the chili cheese dog....it was the best hot dog I've ever had! The roll was more like an artisan roll and didn't get soggy with all the toppings and the dog itself was large, plump and juicy. The side of tots was crispy and generously covered with toppings. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly. 100% recommend them! I'm looking forward to trying the breakfast

I've eaten there three times and the dogs were not only freshly cooked they were also big and delicious as the other sides we had I would definitely go out of my way to eat there again without hesitation. yummy

Nice little food truck. Setup with tables and chairs. With music playing. The dogs have a decent amount of topping and are 1/4 lb. Wish the bun was toasted.

I had the original hot dog. It was fantastic. My husband and I also shared the jerk tots, which were also fantastic. The gentleman who took our order made us feel at home. We look forward to eating at Island Dawg the next time we are in Chincoteague!

Dogs were meaty. Heavily topped and delicious. 5/5. We had alligator dog and bacon Swiss. Both were killer. Staff was super friendly!

I had seen this place on Facebook and decided to try it!! Definitely worth a stop! The hot dogs and tots were AMAZING! Lots of options for both! Our food was piping hot when it came out and everything we had was sooo good! The service was a little confusing with the woman working the register, but she worked hard to get the orders out right and timely. The place is super cute and there's some fun things to do while you wait! There's also a nice photo area! We will definitely return and recommend to others! We had the original tots, the bacon ranch tots, and the bayou tots. We also had the yankee dog and bacon and cheddar dogs! All were excellent!

We ordered the chili dawg and state fair dawg with tots. Hot dogs were good, but the tots stole the show. Don't skip the tots! Two staff members weren't friendly and seemed annoyed we disrupted their conversation by trying to order. Regardless, we'd give it another try.

Very few places that make delicious tater tots but this place is one of them. Really good food and great service.

Amazing gourmet dogs and tots. We have been back a few times and have never been disappointed. The Jamaican jerk dog is a little spicy but is incredible for people who like spice. I love tots and they have some really interesting toppings you can put on them. Sometimes they have a gator dog topped with shrimp creole which is incredible but they seem to be sold out of it a lot

Bestie and I went two weeks ago for dawgs n tots. The dawgs (hot dogs) are Hebrew National and they're more like nock wurst or "dinner sized" franks. The bread is what those on the island call French bread but it reminder me of a club roll very tasty with a good chew. The sauerkraut is delicious and the serving of both the franks and tots is king sized. I really enjoyed my meal bestie did too. Everyone was friendly and nice. We sat outside under an awning it was fun!
