Decided to try this place to eat. When calling and asking if we needed a reservations we were told come on in we aren’t busy. Since every other place on the island had a wait time. First RED flag. We got there the table was dirty, ordered drinks and they were out of most of the drinks we asked for. Their old fashioned randomly had a dirty lime thrown in it. Second RED flag. Now we get to the food part. For the record nothing is fresh, they must have stock in Sysco. All canned or from a frozen bag. Do not get the peel n eat shrimp. It is not an half pound. They are baby shrimp and seemed like they were someone’s fish bate and cocktail sauce was rancid. The fish basket for 17.00 was a joke. Child size portion. The chicken with crab on top was a piece of rubber shoe sole that even the cook thought tasted bad. Hey thanks for taking it off our bill. The gut wrenching pains and farts started at the table and we didn’t even make it out of the restaurant before diarrhea started. You will also get locked in their filthy bathroom and staff needs to let you out. Unfortunately the rest of my family suffered all night. When we got our bill the prices were wrong and we were charged more for food we couldn’t even stomach,. If you want over priced, frozen, and the worst food you will ever eat in your life time head to this place.

The Pearl is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting, with elegant decor and soft lighting. The seafood was fresh and expertly prepared ! The staff was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even better.

Went there on a Tuesday night. It was a little quiet but the waitress took the time to go over the menu and added recommendations ( the broiled crab cakes and island mahi). The food came out quickly and delicious.

A little bit off the beaten path, it's our go-to when we want a nice quiet seafood meal. Very scenic location along the bay, you can usually catch a glimpse of the ponies across the water. They also have a nice small outside bar, nice for some after dinner drinks. I like to go around sunset, even though you don't get a direct sunset view, the sky color reflects nicely on the water. Food is always good and fresh here.

Really wanted to like this place. Wanted to visit last year and never got there but this year we did. Unfortunately it wasnt a very good experience. Server was sweet but kitchen was slow. Ordered the hushpuppies, they were undercooked inside and over cooked outside. We each ate just one.
I ordered the fish of the day, blackened. It was flounder. It was cooked perfectly but flounder isnt exactly at the top of my list for choices. It was served on a bed of rice that was cooked perfectly. The sides i chose were onion rings and green beans. Weird? Probably but i want a veg and i love onion rings. Green beans were canned with a crazy amount of jarlic (not a typo, jarred garlic is gross) onion rings were frozen sysco trash.
We both spent the following day regretting our decisions in the bathroom. Not sure what the issues are there but if I had to guess id say they arent following basic cleaning routines. (My wine glass had lipstick on it)
Sorry guys, you need to try.

Waited 10 minutes for someone to notice we were here. One other table was occupied. Bloody Mary's 2 were $25
8 ounce glass, not tasty or creative.

Breakfast at The Pearl was a colossal disappointment. They lure you in with the promise of a lavish breakfast buffet—a buffet that no longer exists. This isn’t a case of being “temporarily unavailable.” It’s flat-out false advertising, and it sets the tone for the disaster that follows.

When we reluctantly stayed, the experience went from bad to downright insulting. First, they were out of bacon. At breakfast. That’s like a pizzeria being out of dough. Strike one. Then came the food itself: the biscuits could have doubled as construction material—so rock hard you’d need a chisel to break them. And the sausage? Nearly dehydrated into a jerky-like state, chewy and tough instead of savory and satisfying.

This wasn’t just a miss; it was a full-scale breakfast catastrophe. Between the bait-and-switch marketing, the missing essentials, and food so poorly executed it bordered on parody, The Pearl has managed to redefine disappointment.

If you value your morning meal—or your teeth—do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.

My in-laws had recommended The Pearl for dinner. They raved about how good the crab cakes were with large lump crab meat. I was honestly excited. When we started to order the waitress who was so nice notified us of several items that were unavailable that evening and we should have listened to the red flags. I ordered the crab cakes, green beans and sweet potato fries and the fries were the best part for me. The crab cakes were mostly bread and the green beans were definitely from a can with minced garlic from a jar over top. My husbands mashed potatoes were cold and the mahi mahi didn't seem fresh. For 4 people and a baby the meal was 200 and it was the worst meal I have eaten in my life. To top off the evening 30 minutes later I started having diarhhea that continued for the rest of the evening. I won't be back.

Would love to give this place a better rating because I see it's potential. The service was very good however here are some opportunities for improvement:

1. Green beans were canned and fries were frozen as sides for $38 crab cakes. That said, the crab was phenomenal.

2. While we were unable to stay for the live band, the music on the speakers did not give off a beach vibe. Not sure if we're targeting locals or tourists, but as a tourist, I would have rather heard music more appropriate for the occasion. There are plans to expand outdoor seating and I would love to experience that over the water next season. We come regularly.

3. As a trucker, I understand supply chain issues, however they were out of about one half of their sides and one third of their specials. The waitress was kind enough to let us know ahead of time, so thank you.

4. I was very glad they took reservations, other restaurants did not. Keep that up!

5. The logo does not match the vibe AT ALL!

Again, room for improvement, enjoyable, but not worth the pricing. I think the place should have been packed on a sat night, glad it wasn't but it should be.

Best of luck! :)
