I love BBQ. I really love a good bbq without anything too much added. Mission BBQ has that pure genuine bbq recipe and the flavors and sides to top it off. i wanna say more but honestly it's so good I don't have to. Wonderful staff, I've never been treated so well with a takeout.

Atmosphere.. not much to say about it, it's family friendly however management is not. I have asked several times before if they could possibly try and make the pork less fatty and less bark because it's usually full of it when I get it. Last time manager answered the phone and acted like a jerk, he stated to me "I've told you this time and time before and I'll tell you again, we can't do that to our pork sandwiches" Even though I've spoken to other staff they've had no problem honoring my request, at that time I asked the managers name and said I would be speaking to someone higher up. I did. However, my review will not change. I more than likely won't be back. However if they change management I might reconsider but until then no absolutely not.

I got the black plate special and the steak was over cooked and so soaked in butter it was not good.

We were on our way home, close time for supper. My husband order bbq, chicken sandwitch and fries, I order smoked cheese burger and fries my husband wasn't impress with chicken and the fries were burnt. My hamburger was real thick and raw. I ask if they would cook it alittle longer, and was told that the meat was done and when you smoke meat it doesn't change color. I am not stupid. So and the fries were burnt. For the price we paid they should have fixed per customer request. Would not recommend this place

Moved to the area a few months ago and wanted a good BBQ place to go to. The first time I went the brisket was pretty okay. It was moist and had decent flavor. However, every time after it has been really dry. Like no matter the time or day of week the brisket is super dry and has no flavor. I also recently tried their prime rib and had to throw it out. It was one of the worst things I have ever had. On top of that, everything is way over priced for the quality of food. The corn bread they serve is the only guaranteed good thing.

Great Theme to honor our veterans! Our son is Navy and LOVES MEAT!… especially BBQ! The Quality of the Meat is very Tender and juicy … the sauces were a little disappointing but found the Memphis-style to be my favorite.. Also the sides are Deep South good!… to each his own yum.????Parking: Wide open

It was game day and the boys and I were ready to be a part of Hokie Nation but before the football game, it was time to feed the creatures. We had a need for round two of BBQ from the previous night, so we were on a Mission. The restaurant is located in a shopping mall with many different types of shops. As you enter you can walk up and place your order or use the bathroom to your immediate right. As we entered the restaurant, an employee was very nice and welcoming. We ordered a brisket sandwich, brisket and green beans, half a bird and ribs. You place your order, take your seat and wait to be called. While we waited, at noon, the placed stopped and the Star Spangled Benner was played to honor our troops and flag. This former Marine loved this love of country. THAT made it 5 stars yet when the food arrived, it closed the deal. The brisket had the right blend of meat and fat to give it flavor. The ribs had and awesome rub that was enhanced by the Kentucky BBQ found on the table. The cornbread was good a bit hard but good. The bird was A+ the smoke and rub made it fall of the bone each bite. This was a great meal before Enter Sandman. When in town get your BBQ and patriotism on..TWO BIG thumbs up.

Sadly, second time here and underwhelmed again. The staff is friendly but it’s so overpriced! The portions are small for the very high price. Some of the meat was very fatty. I just expect, for $50 to be wowed and unfortunately we were not.
