Smaller place in a strip mall. We were expecting decent food but ended up getting really tasty dishes. Two of us went for lunch and we're quite taken at the quality of the dishes.
I'm from Oregon and fly into Fairfax for work quite often and finding good places to eat had been spotty at best.
Sakoonthai has been saved as a permanent destination for future trips.

I had heard great things about this place and finally got the chance to try it out. Visited during lunch hour and had their lunch special — it came with two sides (I chose the Tom Yum soup and a spring roll), plus seafood fried rice and Thai iced tea — all for just $20. What a deal!

The space is cozy, service was friendly, and the value is unbeatable. I think I just found my new go-to spot for Thai food.

The waiter was very rude, refused to give us water after 3 attempts of us asking for water. Food was great and we had a great time the only thing that brought this review down was the waitress.
