Very nice small restaurant. Service was good. Food was really good. My only complaint was that they were out of a lot of things and had a lot of things marked off on the menu. Also their only drinks options were water, tea, coffee, sprite and coke. I found it weird that they hand you a whole box of non individually wrapped straws, a whole carton of food lion creamer, a whole thing of dollar general syrup instead of portioning it out. They also used plastic cups instead of glassware....
Had higher expectations regardless of mixed reviews. The parking lot was empty, but entrance was welcoming, and an open sign was on the door. A family of 3 was waiting for their order. No one else was there to greet us. As we waited to be seated one of the customers said we could sit anywhere. Appeared to be only 2 people working, the waitress and cook. It was pretty quiet with only 5 patrons and no background music, especially after the other table left, then it was just two...
Haven’t been here in 10 years or more and it was even better than the first time! Highly recommend the Fried Bologna and the home fries were amazing! The lemon cake was to die for as well. The owner and staff are super sweet
