First time visitors to Colonial Beach, and after a few hours in the sun we were hungry. Riverboat on the Potomac was right next to us. Despite a few negative reviews we decided to give them a try. The food was good, nothing was bad. The crab dip and the hush puppies with honey butter did not disappoint. Everything came in generous portions with the exception of the fried pickles, they were really good but sadly a very small portion size.

First time here, and they had a dozen of steamed crabs for $25, and they were good! Not real spicy, but they were served with containers of melted butter, vinegar, and old bay-style seasoning.
Memorial Day Weekend, we should have known we would have been disappointed as it was empty. The view from the outside deck is beautiful, and the service was great. The food is definitely NOT something we would return for. The bloody mary was made with some sort of chili powder. It tasted like I was sucking a cold bowl of meaty chili through a straw (not a good mix) and way too thick. We ordered steamed spiced shrimp.
