Great place to pick up food and go. Great sandwiches made to order. Fast service. You can dine-in, but nothing significantly different dining in than McDonald's or Wendy's.

Hey Firehouse Subs, what happened? We use to go to Firehouse a lot, went back a couple nights ago and everything has changed. A young lady did say welcome to Firehouse Subs when we first walked in and then nothing. As the workers were fixing sandwiches, we waited, and waited, and waited at the register for someone to even acknowledge our existence. Nothing. Not even, we’ll be with you in a minute. No eye contact. Most of the packages of chips on the shelf had expired a month ago. After continuing to wait as the one other customer in the entire store sat, we finally gave up and walked away. Hey, Jimmy John’s has warm toasted subs now and will fix your food quickly and be cordial to you. Go there.

The restaurant felt gloomy and the ladies working behind the counter seemed like they were high or something. The food took absolutely forever, no reason I should be waiting over twenty minutes for two sandwiches. Either they need to be retrained or need new employees hired.

Terrible first experience here, I don't believe I'll be coming back.

The last time I was in there, Was last year. Service was Slow and when I asked About The Birthday program, was Darn right Rude. This was The Colonial Heights location. Normally I would have Complained. But was Mad 😡 and for Got about it. I'm a Disabled man. And how I Was Treated Was uncalled for. Haven't been back Since!

I have always loved firehouse and often frequented the midlothian location and was always so impressed with both the quality of the food, and the employees that worked there. We always received stellar service. Now we live in Petersburg and frequent the colonial heights location. I work very late long past closing time for everything aside from a handful of gas stations. With that being said, I have a family member go pick up food for me to have something to eat when I get off. It’s not like I order anything crazy, just a medium turkey on white with lettuce, provolone, and mayonnaise. They leave off the provolone every time without fail no matter how explicit we are. Of course, because I work late I don’t realize this until they’ve long since closed. Now here’s my issue. Even if I have a picture and a receipt, they will not refund or replace the next day. This means that if I want it fixed or to be refunded, I have to not eat that night. It’s not like I can just go somewhere else- nowhere is open. Typically I only get food out if there’s no food in the house, so I have to either A. Eat a sandwich that I don’t really want that isn’t what I asked/paid for OR B. Not eat and get what I asked for the next day. The first time I let it go, but firehouse isn’t exactly cheap to pay that much and not get what you asked for over and over again and it’s the same item over and over again is frustrating.
