We always come to Smoked when visiting Crozet. Their Virginia Blackberry BBQ sauce is the best!! We gave it as Christmas presents to our family members last year, and everyone raved about it. Last weekend, my kids and I tried their ribs for the first time, and they were awesome. And, they have a great little patio area so you can sit outside when the weather is nice. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in the area!

This was such a great find! We stumbled on it while looking for a place to pick apples. We ordered the you pick 3 and got the ribs, brisket and pulled pork. The baked beans had jalapeño in them and were not too sweet. The collards with pork were done just right. The corn bread is definitely the sweet variety so if you like savory cornbread this might not be for you. They make a wide range of their own sauces and have a surprising number of interesting sides that are not typically found at a restaurant. They have quite a few desserts too. Natalie, the owner, was so helpful and welcoming. The vibe is great, and it was not too loud, but we were there on a Wednesday so it may change on busier days. All in all, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to eat.

Superb bbq. Much better than any place in Charlottesville.
Ample servings, nice atmosphere, friendly staff.

For what it’s worth, you have decent food; however, the customer service experience is confusing (for both customers and servers). If you were to ask your customers, I believe most (if not all) would prefer to order with a human being rather than on a cellphone. Every time I’ve visited, your staff is usually preoccupied with THEIR cellphones, and you are missing an opportunity to connect with your customers and justify a gratuity. The service experience at the recently closed Hollymead location made sense. Customers ordered at the register and were able to connect with a representative of the business. The Crozet location is not intuitive. If you want to model fast food, I suggest setting up your restaurant as you did in Hollymead. If you want to model a restaurant, I suggest having your staff put down their phones, pick up a pen and writing pad and take people’s orders. The food is fine, but the dining experience always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Phenomenal food, I was craving ribs while in Virginia and smoked kitchen SHOWED UP. I love how they do their menu, QR code at the table, order as many meats and sides a la carte. We tried all the sauces, my favorite was the spicy red. Don't sleep on the pickles and the bottled birch beer! Everything came out quick but they were really slow at 4:30 on a Sunday. The only thing that didn't hit was the cornbread, but it was easily forgiven.
Staff was super friendly and professional — we were welcomed, seated, and served almost instantly. We ordered through the QR code menu, which was very convenient. No need to flag anyone down, but I’m sure the staff would’ve handled it just as well without it.
As for the food — everything was great. We tried burgers and their signature meat skillet — everything was flavorful and clearly cooked with care.
We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

Our meals were taking longer than expected, it turns out the kitchen had accidentally sent our order out with a delivery driver. A staff member came over, explained the situation without us even having to ask and voided the entire order. Both meals. On the house.
That kind of transparency and initiative is rare. We'll definitely be back.

We were seated right away, and the host explained how to order with a QR code. I had the pulled pork with the Virginia Blackberry barbecue sauce. It was excellent! I also enjoyed 2 sides: mac and cheese and cheesy bacon potatoes. Also excellent. My husband really loved the ribs with the same sauce. His sides were baked beans and creamed corn with jalapeno. We really enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend it!
