I am not quite sure of the month - APR is a guess. A friend and I have been here many times. We made reservations, arrived early around 5:30pm, for dinner. The wine and food are always good. On this evening, we encountered rude service. We asked for a second glass of wine toward the end of our dinner and didn't receive it. Instead, we were told they had people with reservations and that we would have to leave (around 7pm at this time). I alone spent over $100 so, we weren't sitting there without buying anything. The demeanor changed at the end and we didn't get the last glass of wine. On our way out, my friend saw an opening at the bar so, we sat there and had a glass of wine. The owner (lady) saw us sit at the bar and was aware of us leaving before we were ready w/o getting part of what we requested. That 'seemed' to be intentional when they were getting antsy that we should leave. The situation could have been easily mitigated by offering to comp us the 2 wines with an explanation / apology saying they were really booked that night and would we accept a glass each on the house. That would have helped. I have not been back since, and this used to be one of my go to places. Poor reservation scheduling on their part that rushes patrons through their meal, isn't good customer service or my fault if I happen to be enjoying myself and spending money at a restaurant. We weren't given a timeline when we were seated but, having worked in the restaurant industry, I can say I wouldn't be back to a place that would rush us through our dinner and stating we had a specific timeline.

Welcoming staff as soon as we came in the door! We weren't sure about hours, and we are from a few hours out of town, so we called and they were open! The coffee is phenomenal, and the food couldn't be better! Empanadas!!! Please check this place out! Really is a gem!

Delicious food at a very affordable price. This place deserves even more business. A locals’ restaurant. The shredded beef empanada was to die for! And I really enjoyed the ham and cheese arepa. I will definitely come back. Maybe tonight or tomorrow!

We went there to celebrate Mother’s Day and it is just great!!!! Very professional staff, the food is just delicious. Owner and everyone are very friendly !!!!!! Highly recommended. The arepas are Mundiales!!!!!!!!!!! And the pabellón criollo Delicious!!!!!!!!! You really exceeded our expectations. What a great customer service

First time in this restaurant and we were very satisfied with our meal. We enjoyed traditional Venezuelan food, we have as appetizers the set of 4 empanaditas de carne, 4 cachapitas con queso de mano and 4 tequeños as well as ceviche de camarón con tostones, they were delicious! Our main dish was pabellón with perfect seasoning, savory and filling!! Atmosphere was nice and service was friendly and fast, we asked for 50 tequeños to go!! Highly recommended! We’ll be back!

We have not been here for over a year and were so pleased to see Herman has expanded the place. She had two beef empanadas and loved them. I tried some and agree they are some of the best around. I had the Parilla de Carne con yuca. Delicious!!! The flavors are amazing and the yuca adds a new texture to every thing else. And for dessert we split a quesillo (Venezuelan flan) which we think is the best in the world.

Following N. Virginia foodies this place hit the top end. Some of the best authentic cuisine you can find. The best Empanada’s we have eaten. A must go to place.

Good food but cold. The reviews on Tripadvisor site were very good, so we searched out this restaurant for dinner before going out with the Family. Service was poor asked for extra ice tea the server forgot 15 minutes after, I asked her for another tea please and she reply with attitude, but we charge for extra tea very loud. For me money is not an issue I wouldn't mind if she bring me the ice tea and just charge for it instead of screaming and giving me a bad look.

We tried the pabellon arepa and the pulled beef arepa with shredded cheddar cheese. Both were DElicious, but the pabellon was easily our favorite. I loved the combination of the rice, beans, meat and sweet plantain. The sauces were not impressive. The service was great.
