We stopped by Appalachian Heritage Distillery & Brewery on our way home from a camping trip and were immediately impressed by the atmosphere. The tasting room has an immaculate vibe—think relaxed, modern gentleman’s club with dark woods, comfortable seating, interesting artwork, and a cozy speakeasy feel. It’s easy to see why so many visitors mention the atmosphere as one of the highlights.

After a long bike ride on the Creeper Trail, we stopped in the Appalachian Heritage Distillery. In addition to being able to order a craft cocktail, you can also purchase a bottle of their spirits. I had an Old Fashion, and it was very good. This is an impressive distillery.

2nd time there , had to get more award winning Vodka. Great atmosphere . Very knowledgeable staff . The town sure could use the the business after hurricane Helena. We stay at the Old Mill Inn. You can walk to the distillery .
