I had lunch at TCC on Sunday, March 22nd, and it was really great from start to finish. My cocktail was as delicious as my pie; the atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming; and the staff was perfect. Sage waited on us Sunday—what a sweet and attentive server! Andrea personally explained the lack of a few items, and so kindly apologized that we couldn’t have been upset if we tried. The Cottage Café is a true gem in Damascus. The atmosphere is warm, inviting and cozy with a small‑town charm that feels relaxed and welcoming to everyone who walks in. The food is fresh, flavorful and delicious, a mix of Irish and European cuisine that includes a meat pie, a pint and authentic Irish food. The staff are kind, friendly, attentive and genuinely kind, giving great service with excellent attention to detail. The vibe inside is comfy, chill and homey, and the excellent cocktails are mix up for a perfect spot to slow down after a hike on the Virginia Creeper Trail or a bike ride. It is a wonderful addition to the VA Creeper Trail community and a hit for locals and travelers alike.
