I dropped my sandwich. The person at the front counter seemed very absent minded. The cook noticed so he made me another one but something was missing off of it, and it was just impossible to get that fixed. It was great that he made me another one. But yeah, just the the person in the front, totally threw me off from the whole place.

I went to the Drive thru window just after 2 pm to order 2 lunch plates. No one responded to their menu microphone, and after waiting a good 5 minutes, I drove around the building and went back, thinking I had failed to alert them I was there. No response, so I pulled around to the window and blew my horn. No response! I could see workers inside! So, I parked and went inside. When I inquired about the lack of service, the manager rudely told me that person leaves at 2! How was I to know that? So, I placed my order with him for lunch plates with slaw and hushpuppies. I asked for a separate order of fries đ. While I was waiting at the register, I clearly heard one of the waiters and the manager laughing about a sarcastic note on my order that was given to the cook. They made a derogatory comment! Then, when I got home with my food, the orders were wrong. No slaw, just fries. Won't be going back, and this manager shouldn't be there!

11 of us came for dinner, we waited for 2 hours for food, and it was not the quality that you get in martinsville. They brought 3 meals and then 7 more and forgot the last order and we had to wait 15 minutes for it. And the restaurant was not busy. Lots of kitchen staff, but the food took a long time to come out.

Amazing! Like insanely flavorful. The brisket taco stole the show. The dirty rancher melts in your mouth. Great service would love to come back again next time I'm through here.

Probably the worst barbecue Iâve ever had. Meat portion was way too small, sides were obviously frozen and reheated. Poor waitress was overworked since she was the only server on staff. No idea how this place has 4.2 stars.

Roland the server deserves raise. Best hype man for a business I've seen so far. Food was good and very flavorful. Only downside is the brisket was cold and leathery. The sauce selection saved it. The smokes wings and ribs, great. Kids menu, my son loved the chicken tenders and the seasoned fries are stepped up from the norm. Over all would recommend to anyone and enjoyed the our visit.

I have never had a bad experience at Checkered Pig, but tonight was the most exceptional visit yet! The young man and woman that waited on us were so kind and charismatic, the food was hot fresh and delicious, and the service was super quick! There were nothing but pros the entire dining experience. They all went above and beyond and made this a spectacular experience!
Went thru the drive thru and asked for a CHOPPED BBQ sandwich with no slaw. The sandwich was not chopped it a as pulled and the bottom bun was so soggy I could not even pick it up. Worst sandwich ever.

However my food wasnât so great. My ribs were cold. My fries where cold and my hush puppies was Burnt. Saw my food sitting in the expo era for very long time. Until our waitress finally gave me my food. Was extremely disappointed everything was gross. But the blackberry cobbler. Our to go order was good and hot though shouldâve just gotten take out. .
