“I was so looking forward to trying out this place after hearing such great things. It seemed like an upscale vibey place from their on line presentation, but unfortunately our experience was pretty disappointing. We went on a Saturday evening, early, and they were out of literally everything we wanted to order. We were seated in a dingy back corner under a TV and the vibe was just off. The food we ordered was mediocre. Service was ok. Not likely to return.”

“I’ve been going to Golden Leaf with different amounts of frequency since they opened. Tonight was for date night and my palette was calling for steak.

We got a table immediately, and put drink and dinner orders in right away as we were promptly waited on. The restaurant was quiet at first until the band outside started playing.

We ordered the Cajun ribeye and the NY strip, both cooked to perfection. High praise for the asparagus and creamed corn. Mashed potato sides were also the perfect creaminess and portion size. Don’t sleep on the yeast roll to begin the meal either.

Parking: Unpaid parking on street and across the street from the restaurant. Unpaid garage next door to the restaurant.”

“Just wanted to say, got a pie from you guys back in September when I was in town for Blue Ridge Rock Fest. I’m from Chicago and ever since I’ve left I cannot stop thinking about this pizza. It was hands down the best pizza I’ve had in my life. The consistency of the bread, the crust wasn’t super doughy, the cheese was melted perfectly, and with just the right amount of sauce, which wasn’t super sweet either. I must declar that if the Krusty Krab had a pizza, this would indeed be it, because this is the pizza for you and me. I’ve had several dreams about that pizza I ate in September. I would do just about anything for just one more. Please never close. I promise one day I will be back. and I will order 100 pizzas.”

“The food is great. Best sushi and the best rice bowls in Danville. Pretty good prices considering how things have been going in the country, but whatever the price is, it’s worth it. They’re in a small building, so they can’t hold a lot of people. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a large party or anything, but takeout has always been the way to go. Can’t recommend it enough ??”

“We don't get to Danville too often, but when we do, Crema and Vine is a mandatory destination. We discovered this fantastic place several years ago and have been absolutely awed by the outstanding food and the service. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of Crema and Vine is that it is a family run business, which we always try to support, and have for years. The owners, Steve and Angela truly care about their customers and we feel like family when we are there. May they continue to operate Crema and Vine for many years as the outstanding place it is.”

We ordered calamari, a cheesesteak, a Stromboli, and fettuccine alfredo, all customized with additions or subtraction. Everything arrived promptly, and hot and fresh. Our cups never ran empty. Really just a great first time visit for us!”

“The pizza is on point! Delicious true NY style. Simple no over spiced bs, like most places that claim NY style. Great sauce topping and cheese are great. Only thing i recommend is order , Well Done. Which i do everywhere. It's just pure, great, pizza. I will be back for sure. I've tried several places in Danville on a search for my favorite pizza, i think I've found it.”

“2/1/24 My first visit: I took my family to Captain Cook's to celebrate my father's birthday. It was a party of 13. The place was very clean and spacious! The hosts acknowledged us as soon as we walked in, and our table was available immediately! When we got to our table, I felt the air from the ceiling fan, and before I could say anything, the host already knew and turned off the fan! She was paying attention! Wow! 😊 Our waitress was very pleasant and personable, listened carefully to our requests, and was quickly accommodating. It was like she was reading our minds. And the food???? FRESH, HOT, and DELICIOUS! To end the evening, the price was great for the quality and quantity of food we received! We were comfortable and didn't feel rushed! Thanks to the entire Captain Cook's Staff for a great dining experience to celebrate my father's birthday. I will visit again when I'm in town! 5/5 💥”

“I was working a job out here for the past few days and my lunch was cold that I brought with me I went up to the store and they let me use their microwave that is called southern ”

If you want good home cooking like a mom and pops then you come to the right place here at dairy heart of Danville Va . I had the ribeye sandwich and I asked the lady that cooked me this delicious sandwich how is it? Well I did not even have time to take a picture because I ate it to quick that was how good it was tender and juicy and I got the combo too with a sweet tea, I feel like in my opinion it is the best and sweetest tea in town. Furthermore to wrap this up I do have only one complaint it was how the one worker, do not know his name but had red hair and freckles was treating regulars like royalty and smiling but treat new people like yeah what do you want kinda of attitude he was definitely not friendly to me but his co worker that first served me was and speaking of that the worker the one that was disrespectful wants to mumble under his breath about his other co worker the nice one. I understand it has been hot days and I understand if you work with someone who is only 16 and not all days are good days but give the kid a break and learn to appreciate what is around you and work on your customer service skills and learn how to be patient and be a team player because you never know who is listening and watching. Other then that I still will come back because of the food and the nice 16 year old. I just hope when I come back and see that mean guy I hope he is in a better mood.”

“First time going to uncle Al’s and it was phenomenal! My kids and I used to love going to his hot dog stand and they were ecstatic to find out he had his own restaurant! It did not disappoint! The Spider-Man hot dog was superb! The kids finished off with some ice pops and I had the most delicious lemon cake! We will be back soon!”

“We came in today to try their new açaí bowls and I’m so glad we did! They were awesome! I had the berry crunch one with added chia seeds and honey drizzle. My sister had the tropical bowl with added ginger and peanut butter drizzle. The açaí mixture was so good and not icy or half melted like I have had at most places. I’m not sure how they make it this good but I’m so happy that offer them. Now I just wished I lived closer so I could come often :(. We come in about once every 5 to 6 weeks to visit with family. We will definitely be back to try the other varieties of açaí bowls. Great job!

Milkshakes are definitely a must have in more flavors than you can count. The Cookout offers good food, fast service and affordable prices.”

“This Family owned Chinese restaurant is fast, friendly and delicious. It reminded me of what good Chinese comfort food should taste like. I ordered the General Tao’s chicken and the Shrimp with garlic sauce. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. The shrimp dish has lots of veggies that was nicely chopped and huge pieces of shrimp in there. I will definitely visit here next time I am in Danville.”

Dietary restrictions: There is gluten free penne and rice noodles and just let them know if you have allergies, they will make it separate in pan that hasn't been used with gluten noodles.

Kid-friendliness: Quite a few kid items to choose from. And have kid menus to keep them busy while waiting on the food.

Wheelchair accessibility: All the tables have chairs that can be moved out of the way, and the bathrooms have stalls large enough for a wheelchair.”

I am trying to eat healthier these days so, I tried to get a salad with no cheese from the Wendy’s on South Boston Road in Danville, VA and I was told... “sorry ma’am, all of our salads are pre-made and you cannot get a salad without cheese.” I guess Wendy’s is not allergy friendly and they have horrible customer service!!!! On the other hand, I went up the road to the Burger King on South Boston Road and went through the drive through and told them about my allergies and asked for a salad without cheese and they made me a fresh made-to-order salad right then and there! :) Good job BK on South Boston Road for your awesome customer service!!! :)))Guess at Burger King you can really have it your own way! :))) � � to the Wendy’s on South Boston Road.
