Danville is an interesting place. They have the best Thai food I've had in years and they have this little gem. I went here when they first opened and it was like every other little, trying a little too hard without the special something that made it worth going back. We've all seen the places. They typically have a cook with a lot of tattoos trying to show off drinks they don't know how to prepare and different takes on dishes that just don't quite land. We have all seen these restaurants pop up and typically they go down just as hard.
So... I had a chance to revisit on my last trip and I was... Well... I was blown away. I don't think I could have asked for anything better. I rarely get the drinks in restaurants like this, but the Danville mule was outstanding... The Salmon had with the corn cream sauce was probably the most interesting dish I've had in years. I can't say enough about how nice the server was though I don't remember her name. She misheard a couple of our orders including mine but that was our fault and she was so sweet about fixing it. I truly cannot say enough good things about the entire experience.
Ate on deck, great view of river. Good food, atmosphere and service. Cool spot!!
Came here because we love it. The menu changes are awful.
The best part of our night was the wine and the truffle fries.
So sad.
Great spot that overlooks the Dan River. Great drink selection & the food was amazing. The staff were super friendly & attentive. Started with the crispy brussel sprouts(so good), had the shrimp & grits for the main(phenomenal), & ended with the peach cobbler (saved the best for last obviously). I attempted to take pics but ate half of everything before I got the pics because everything was so good. When I am back in Danville I'll definitely become a repeat customer at this gem of an establishment!
Even though they do longer have pizza or draft beer we still enjoyed ourselves while racing at VIR
The filet and orecchiette dishes were delicious! Service was slow for getting drink, entrees and dessert through the night. 7:45 reservation and left around 9:30pm. Server was nice. There were longer periods of time that servers were doing side work (sweeping next to our table (not my favorite when eating), silverware rolling, etc.) that took away from experience and getting checked on if we needed anything. We ordered the peach cobbler (I would not call this a peach cobbler and they kindly took it off our bill after manager was shown it). The peaches slices were tough, it was soupey, had some granola/crumble on top. Ice cream was good. It felt like they rushed at end of the night. Overall, this restaurant was good. Also they did have iced tea and sodas as non-alcoholic options.
Excellent food and service.
Loved the vibe. Awesome staff, delicious food. Wish we lived closer because we’d be here all the time!
I ordered the mill burger and received a bun with hockey pucks on them , charred beyond burned up! Party was accused of running out on check and the entire time the server had pocketed the cash and claimed she didn’t know… hmmm she actually thought that she was gonna keep that tab and accuse us of not paying!! So glad I had to double back and pick up a package I forgot there. Such a disappointing experience shame shame shame!
Love this place. Oyster Rockefeller appetizer was delicious. I heard the brick oven pizza was good, but no longer on the menu. Truffle fries were yummy.

Always a great experience.
Nice place to go anytime.
The food was pretty good, pricey, but we went in expecting the cost. Our server was pleasant, but the service itself took a while, we understood it was a Saturday afternoon but they had plenty of tables available.
A note for parents, they do not offer teas or sodas, our son had to get a non-alcoholic beer (which did contain 0.5% alcohol).
Overall, a nice experience, but I can't say I'd recommend.
Openly mocking customers is not a good idea.
The new direction and menu is what it is, and it isn't great... A departure from years of consistency and stellar dishes.
Cotton used to have the greatest brussel sprouts in the country, now just brussel sprouts. And the pour size and quality of the specialty old fashioned left much to be desired.
Unfortunate, but it happens.
