I think servers either make or break a restaurant. I did see great servers at other tables that were smiling and friendly. Ours was not. She was very short with us and would quite frankly run away mid conversation. I asked her what she would recommend and she quickly told me. I paused and she ran away not to return for a good 10 minutes. My husband tried to tell her our appetizer and she turned away and left again. We asked for the check when we completed and my husband tried giving his card to her and she again RAN away. Her lack of people skills gave her a10% tip. We will never return based on her service. Food was good but owners should understand service means just as much as food quality.

We shared the Georgia Peach cocktail and it was delicious. Our wait person had the bar tender split the drink for us which was very thoughtful of her. My husband asked if 1he 12 ounce bone in pork chop was brined. She didn't know and didn't volunteer to ask the chef until I told her to please do so. It was not -and it was tough. Lesson learned pork is much leaner and it needs the added moisture that a brine provides. In retrospect he should have made another choice. I ordered the filet and asked for it be pink in the center. It was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The latter being a very odd choice as local asparagus as plentiful and tender in Spring as we dined on December 12th it was a poor choice and tough. What arrived as a filet was over cooked and tough. I often order filets when we dine out and this did not look or taste like that cut. The mashed potatoes were good. Net - it was a very disappointing meal. The bright note - we ordered a key lime pie to go and it was tasty. We will not return when we are in the area.

Ordered the pork chop bourbon glaze, fried Brussel sprouts and potatoes. The Brussel sprouts were black from being burnt and the potatoes had no taste due to the burned sprouts. The pork chop and glaze was tasty. Service was excellent.

We have eaten here several times over the last few months and the food has always been great! We went with another couple for lunch yesterday and Caitlin was our server. She went above and beyond to ensure our experience was 5 star! The food was great as usual and the atmosphere was perfect!

Everything we had was good except for my fillet. It was overcooked...I couldn't cut it w/the steak knife. I sent it back. Then it was undercooked and everyone else was finished eating. Ate around some of the more done edges. It still was not good. Comes w/a sauce with garlic and I love garlic but it smelled fishy???...I couldn't put my finger on it at the moment but then realized I don't believe it was a fillet. I think it was a sirloin...the meat didn't cut like a fillet. I would eat here again...just don't order the fillet. We had the salmon, shrimp & grits, and the brussel sprouts and the hushpuppies as an app. All of that was delicious!

We actually found this restaurant by accident. We were looking for another one that apparently went out of business. This place was absolutely amazing. Our waitress Linda was fantastic. She made the night. Food was outstanding. We highly recommend this place.

Best pork chop I've ever eaten! Thick, juicy and perfectly cooked. Cotton has a casual atmosphere and waa a bit on the noisy side, but not so much you couldn't have a conversation.

Overall nice experience. If you want a quiet dinner with a waterfront in view in Danville, this is the place to be.

Excellent food and extra special service from Deb. My only complaint is they ran out of the pork chop entree.

I can't wait to return. It's something upscale that Danville has been missing.

2nd time at this restaurant and service seems to be an issue. Why can't restaurants leave salt and pepper on the table. Took 15 minutes for server to find salt? Entree came out shortly after our appetizer. Will not go back.

Everything was great with the exception of our three ribeyes. All three were perfectly cooked BUT were heavy with gristle. What wasn't gristle was delicious. Our fourth diner had the salmon and it was outstanding. Service and atmosphere are very good. So, I would definitely go back to Cotton but have another entree.
