I was so looking forward to trying out this place after hearing such great things. It seemed like an upscale vibey place from their on line presentation, but unfortunately our experience was pretty disappointing. We went on a Saturday evening, early, and they were out of literally everything we wanted to order. We were seated in a dingy back corner under a TV and the vibe was just off. The food we ordered was mediocre. Service was ok. Not likely to return.

Such a warm and welcoming environment. We were hungry after cycling the entire Danville River Trail today. We had driven from Morrisville, NC, and we were hungry. We had excellent luck finding The Culture Restaraunt & Grill open and ready to serve on a Sunday. Justin and the entire crew visited with us. They shared the history of the building. The food was good. The mixed drinks were great. I left my credit card by mistake, but while walking back to our car, they came to return it. Definitely some customer service worth returning for.

Stopped in for food and drinks after riding the River Walk. It was one of the only places open downtown Sunday afternoon. Well worth the stop. Justin and his team visited with us and made us feel like regulars. Culture is there on the menu and on the walls. Enjoyed looking at the art and learning the history of the building. We'll be back - and know where we're ending our ride next time.

Danville, VA: Upon entering we were warmly greeted by Sally. Sally and Myisha escorted us to our seats. Our order was promptly taken and promptly prepared to perfection. This was first time but not our last visit.You must taste the Firecracker Shrimp. It is scrumptious!Great service. Great food. Danville has a winner here. We very highly recommend Culture Restaurant and Grill to you. You too will be delighted.

This was our 1st time dining at Culture. The food was very impressive. I had the Catfish and it was seasoned to perfection. If you've never tried Culture Restaurant you should give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

I guess to come here you need to know someone. Workers can be rude and you will be confused as to why, not all but certain ones. The food while plated beautifully, was just completely unseasonsed. Nothing had any flavor of soul food. The yams super bland, the mashed potatoes just piles of tasteless lumps, just both our dinners were horrible. We disnt just took the food to go and threw it in tbe trash. I no longer argue with establishments. You shouldnt have to pay when the food is horrible, but its america. I even tipped the waitress.
On Sunday for brunch we waited 75 minutes for our food. We asked for a steak medium and was served a well done steak (twice). The potatoes were WELL salted. The asparagus was cold. The spinach had way too much garlic and the rice was greasy. On the positive side our waitress Cory was simply amazing in every way.This is our 2nd time here. The first time was horrible so we gave them another try after working out the kinks. The same experience if not worse than the first time. Never saw a manager or owner once during our entire 2 hours of being there.

Went to a private party. Didn't eat so can't comment on the food. All the people working there were very nice. Plenty of parking with an urban loft sort of vibe. I think there is some outdoor space which would have been nice during warmer weather. I would be interested to return there to dine.

Being my first trip here everything was off the hook. Got here right around 5 pm. The staff made me feel welcome and was very friendly. I had the catfish with mac&cheese and waffle fries. The catfish was absolutely the best I have had in a while along with the Mac & cheese top it off.
