This place really hit the spot! The menu, the decor, the folks..... everything you want in a great diner.
The fried bologna sandwich was excellent. The crinkle cut french fries were delicious and perfectly crispy. The sweet tea was spot on.
Everybody there was so friendly and helpful.
Very reasonable prices.
We will definitely be back.

The news anchor on WDBJ did a foodie visit to Mamas Possum - we decided to go check it out for the burgers and hot dogs he boasted about. There are two of these restaurants in Danville. We went to the older drive-in thinking that the original restaurant would have the best of the best. The waitress was great, polite and efficient. Now for the food - my hamburger was not hot, the patty itself was from a frozen, thin patty of meat. The red hot dogs were good, but the buns lacked freshness and that “steamed quality “ a burger/dog joint should have. And both meals were expensive- $9.00 a pop. We were disappointed to say the least.
