Mama Possum's on Rt. 41 Mt. Hermon

This is a must stop when traveling to VIR for us! Staff is friendly and I think it’s only fair to be respectful when they are busy. I see the negative reviews and wonder if they made the staff aware? I’m sure they would fix it as they care about each guest.

My wife and I were tooling around Danville when we decided it was time for lunch. A quick Google search resulted in us deciding on Mama Possums. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with Tator Tots and my wife chose Chili Dogs and Onion Rings. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and was delicious. Mama Possums is an old time style burger joint. The food is basic but delicious, the staff friendly and helpful and the prices reasonable. Highly recommended!

AMAZING LITTLE RESTAURANT WITH WONDERFUL FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, AND NICE ATMOSPHERE!!! This is a FIRST visit to this little hidden gem, but definitely WON'T be our last!!! We're from just over the line in North Carolina, but often shop in Danville and this restaurant is a bit of a drive away from ALL of the major shopping areas in the city, but DEFINITELY worth the drive!! I swear the CRISPY HOMEMADE ONION RINGS alone are worth the drive!!😁They greet you from the time you walk in the door, which is really welcoming! Their food is DELICIOUS and VERY reasonably priced!!😋 It's decorated with various metal license plates and signs!! The food service workers are lined up and working with their own little system which makes their service VERY QUICK from order to serving, which is fascinating to watch! They have a nice VARIETY of food which you can see by the menu in my pictures! They even have soft serve ice cream & homemade milkshakes! If you're in or around the Danville, Virginia area and looking for a great eatery, do yourself a favor and try Mama Possums!!!❤️ YOU'RE WELCOME!!!😁
