Someone said these are box cakes and I agree. I have been a few times hoping for consistency and I haven't found it. Sometimes the cake is light, moist and fluffy, other times, not so much!

When I tell you I have ate in a lot of bakeries! I’m from Charlotte NC with some of the best in cake make! However, Ma cakes is too tier!The light and airy texture of there cakes with incredible flavor! Ooo I love it! 10 out of 10!!!

I usually stop in for Ma's amazing slices of cake but today something else caught my eye. It was her red velvet chocolate chunk cookies. When I say they are good that is an understatement oh my goodness so delicious ? a definite must try!

Don’t stop in nearly enough but that will be changing. Popped in this weekend to see what was in the display and ended up leaving with a donut, Oreo cupcake, oatmeal raisin cookies and a giant M&M cookie as well. No photos from this visit but the taste and freshness were out of this world!

My triple chocolate cake was goid. It was light and moust. The frosting was very goid. I would like my cake a little heavier and still be most. I would buy again. I do recommend.
I stopped in to leave some business cards behind and I decided to buy two slices of cakes cause they look good! I got the butter pecan cake for myself and lemon for my husband and mannnnnnnnm we both enjoyed our cakes! I’ve never even heard of butter pecan cake before until that day and fell in love! I’m coming back for sure!
These are NOT homemade cakes. These are definitely made straight out of the box! The service was pretty good considering no one bothered to speak or acknowledge my presence. The atmosphere is dope tho. I just wish you would stop FALSE advertising this

I'm sorry I didn't take pictures, but Ma's Cakes are delightfully pleasing to the eyes! The cake is super moist and flavorful!? The icing is bit too sweet for me, so a little goes a loong! The folks that run this cake shop are friendly and seem eager to answer any questions, which made this a very pleasant experience! They are located conveniently downtown Danville, Virginia, where I'm happy to see MORE businesses setting up shop! Shopping downtown were some of my favorite childhood memories with my Mama! Y'all go check out Ma's Cakes & other shops in downtown Danville, Virginia! Be prepared to buy MORE than one slice of cake because it's hard to pick just one!

Sadly, we were very disappointed with this establishment. The cakes are NOT homemade. I’ve had better tasting cakes from Walmart to be honest. It’s extremely over priced for the poor quality. I don’t understand the hype.
