The food here is sporadically good. Consistently, the burgers are quite good. We love the southwest eggrolls here too, but they were cold in the center on our last visit. All in all a cool looking place inside but not ever busy on the weekend dinners we've had there.

I have been to Old 97 a couple times by myself. I’ve had great experiences..They are very friendly and respectful.. I always get a warm greeting “hey how are you!” Enthusiastically with a smile. They address me with sir. The food is great. I’ve had the Old 97 Burger twice and I was just as impressed the second time I had it as the first time. I love that they put green tomato on it.. it’s very very good. I’ve heard it’s too pricey at over $15 but it’s quality and worth every penny, in my opinion. Truly a masterpiece burger.
The other day I brought a friend along with me and his son. My friend is from Greensboro and is moving to Danville in about a month. He absolutely loved the Chicken Caesar Sandwich.. He said it’s brilliant! His son enjoyed the corn dogs. He commented he liked the atmosphere and will likely visit here when he moves from Greensboro.
Overall highly recommended!

I was a darn happy camper with the train wreck burger and sweet potato fries. Felt like home. And good people too. Thank you The only thing is maybe more comfy bar seats

Absolutely TINY portions (will attach photo in comments) Overpriced, for overcooked food. Ordered a BLT, bacon was burnt and bread over toasted, like a crouton sandwich 😂😂 Chicken strips were so disappointing, small. Maybe an oz each, not including the heavily coated batter to make up for lack of protein. $10 too much for what you’re given. Fries EXTREMELY over salted. Our server checked on us once. Yikes. 3/10, will not be returning. Seems like a money grab!
this place is absolutely atrocious. they treat employees terribly. they leave good out overnight and serve it. The owner has a drug problem. this is just an example of a child using daddies money to play business man. you will probably get sick eating here
I highly recommend reserving the event space here for any work events, birthday parties etc. They go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect! Also there is no fee for the room (unlike many other local spots) there is just a minimum food purchase amount which is very easy to meet with a party of 10+

Great food and atmosphere!
Ok, I have visited 4 times before leaving a review. Twice during the day before 2pm and twice after 6. In my opinion, the service and food that you receive during different times is like night and day.
In the day time for both visits, we sat at the bar and Nikki was our server. She was great and can make a nice Old fashioned. We tried the salmon BLT, egg rolls, fish & chips, and had a few drinks. Second time we had the egg rolls again, along with the fried green tomatoes and nachos. Overall the food was good.
Now for the evening time, we tried shrimp and grits and it was watery, the sauce was bland and the grits had a weird texture. The egg rolls were not as good as the first two visits and the tavern burger was just ok. The drinks were watered down and did not taste good. We tried again thinking it was an off night and ordered to go and the food just sucked. The server was ok but not as friendly and attentive.
This is my reason for 3 stars. The day time and night staff and experience should be aligned and consistent. We wanted to come after 5 to try the other food options like the salmon, steak etc but will not return in the evening time. I hope this can be improved.

the kicken got roaches, the head chef can't cook nor run a kitchen and the owner down right can't manage the place. couldn't tell me to my face I'm fired or why.. and still haven't. and don't call them false clams when I got videos. you can reply to my review but not text ir call or have the ball the talk to me in person. joke of a employer
Great spot to grab a beer and burger. It was better than I expected and will be on my return list if I come through the area in the future.
